I have a gmail account and used to get $/$ emails and other good email coupons but I don't anymore. I told dh I think it's because I've had my card too long and don't spend enough OOP so they know I will keep coming back in any way and not leave any money. Sometimes I don't even bother with a $5/30 from the scanner because it will make my oop too high. I do a lot of small transactions.

The clue to what's cvs brand or not is the bar code starts with 54 and on the back has "distributed by cvs pharmacy and blah blah blah about the quality guarantee"

Blade, skin effects, fruitopia hair care, gold emblem are a few off the top of my head.

Does anyone know if the Huggies Pure and Natural are included in this week's deal? I have a bunch of $3 q's for those and only one for the regular huggies. I was hoping to get a few packs for a baby shower coming up.

CVS does not carry that line.

Hi there!

I'm a bit of a newbie at this CVS thing, but I've been reading these CVS threads for some time and have so much information thanks to all of you. I'm in my 2nd week and so far I've done pretty good. In the past 8 days I've spent about $25 OOP for a little over $125 worth of stuff at CVS. I'm still pretty new with the coupons so I don't have too many -- just started getting the paper about 3 weeks ago. I've signed up on various site to print my own coupons, which has helped immensely.

I have a few rain checks from last week and I'm still holding $8 in ECBs right now. I even got DH to get a CVS card to get a few things and he has $5 in ECBs, and a rain check too for the Blink drops too.

I'm so proud of myself and DH is proud of me too for saving us so much money on stuff we use. I'm a stockpiler too but I usually just buy when things are on sale, but in the past week I've got quite a few things for free or next to nothing that I'm even more excited.

Today my big find was the Wylers Light drink mix tubes for $0.49 each. OK, that's only 50% off but for me I normally think I'm getting a deal at the dollar store -- so I grabbed all 5 on the shelf. WooHoo! Got DH 2 candies he likes -- for free too b/c I had that $1/2 coupon.

Thank you all for being so helpful and sharing your successes and insight. It really is invaluable for newbies like myself. I learned a very valuable lesson today -- use the $/$ coupons first then mfg. coupons then ECBs. I tried to use a $5/$25 and the lady rang it last and she said it wouldn't work b/c my subtotal was now less than the $25 needed b/c I had the coupons and ECBs.
Hmmmm.

So rather than make a big deal about it, b/c maybe I did it wrong, I came home and logged on here and searched around and found out that it still should have worked. I went to the CVS closer to my home and explained it to the manager at that store and he just took my coupon and gave me the cash -- and told me never to shop at that other CVS again b/c he's got the best customer service. I'm sold!

Again, thank you all very much!

The Huggies Pure & Natural are twice as expensive as regular Huggies. I wouldn't waste the money on them. The regular Huggies work better than any other brand for DS. Even without coupons, $7 a pack is a great deal for diapers. Remember to save your receipt and send it in to Caregivers Marketplace for a .75 rebate on each pack you buy! I just got a check for $32 today from them for Huggies I bought from Jan-July that I had the receipts to send in to them.

Welcome! Stick around and you'll get the hang of it. I would stick with the new CVS too.

CVS doesn't carry that line. Once or twice I may have accidently used those coupons and since they don't beep at the register I didn't realize it until later.....

I have gotten negative subtotals before, but they always made me buy something else.

I didn't realize we are so close. I always go to Lindenhurst, which has awesome cashiers that will help you get deals, push through beeping q's, etc. The new store in Antioch just opened though, and I got a $10/20 in the mail so I went there yesterday. I don't think I will go back for awhile though. They really need to get the kinks worked out. My moms 5/25 from the quiz beeped and no one could figure out how to push it through. And then one of our receipts jammed and didn't print ECB's. They told me to call the CVS 800 number to get them reprinted. I had to tell them how to reprint them. Can you imagine calling corporate and telling them the paper jammed? What a joke! So far it doesn't seem like there is anyone in Antioch working the free deals so there will be stock, but useless cashiers.

Reminder... keep taking the quiz each day on CVS.com and the $5/$25 coupon that prints will have a later expiration date. If you've taken it already, follow the instructions here to get a new unique code.

Glad you stayed, a warning for everyone is to never leave the store when that happens. A cashier put the paper in backwards when I had a $25 extra buck coming and it was blank. Store manager shrugged and said I was out of luck - this was before they could manually print extra bucks.

I was on the phone 5 different times with 1-800-SHOPCVS and they never reset it.

Recently the register tape ran out on me too, but all I lost was my CRTs for the week, there were about 4 and it bugged me for days.

I read the directions but since I use a MAC I don't have a right/left click on the mouse. Any ideas on how to get around that, LanaJae?

On a better note~~I am now finding some cooperative pharmacists including Craig at the new Woodbury store. Thanks for the encouragement on that one, LanaJae!

Did you find summer clearance at any of the stores that was more than 40%? I couldn't spot anything at Mahtomedi, W. St. Paul, or the new Woodbury store.

I go to the Lindenhurst store once in a great while if the one in Third Lake is out of something I really want. Do you mean the one on Grand Ave.?

I didn't hear about the new store in Antioch.

I've never even touch a MAC in my life lol, so I don't know other than if you can find someplace for "flash" settings for that particular site.

Glad you got a Ready-Fill, they'll end up throwing a ton out if they don't get busy and start giving them to people. They had pads and pad of $3/15 to hand out and they didn't do it and they expired.

I didn't go out looking for clearance, if Maryland went 90%, it's gone as the employees take nearly everything there. I got sucked into Cub deals again yesterday.

Tried my second store today and summer stuff was only 50% and they had tons of the Italian Ices. So hopefully they marked them down again soon.

A few Rite Aid deals for those interested....nothing too exciting this week. The Scotch pop up tape is $2.49 with $2.49 rebate. If you can find the desk grip one, there are $2 coupons making it a moneymaker. I only found the wristband kind and the coupon does beep so YMMV on if they push it through (my store did not).

Clear Eyes Redness Relief is part of their .99 stock up sale. The $1 coupon from this weeks circular works making it free. Also, the BIC soleil is $5.99 with a $2 rebate. Using the $3 coupon it comes to .99 which isn't too bad a deal if you have extra coupons to use up.
