Online Check-In = Room Ready??? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hello!

We are at the 10 day mark for the Room Only portion of our trip. I would like to try ONLINE check in for this as we arrive around 10-11am...my question is....

If you have utilized ONLINE CHECK-IN, was your room ready when you got there?

I've done it just one time so far...at BWV. It's unusual to get a room early there. But I was happy to find that my room was ready in April when we checked in. Not sure if that was because of online checkin though.
I can't imagine that it would make all that much difference, unless they clean the rooms of those who have done online checkin and are arriving that day first. Not sure if that's how it works though.

Online Check-In doesn't guarantee your room will be ready. We used it in June, arrived at the hotel around 10, didn't get our room til late afternoon.

About how likely is it that a room would be ready early at one of the value resorts? We are driving in and will be arriving around 10-11 a.m. It would really be nice to be able to immediately check-in and settle before we hit the parks.

We used online check in for ur stay at POP on 6/17/2009. We arrived at
11:00 am and our room was ready. That being said I agree with the PP that I have no idea if it was on-line check in or just luck. We also put NO requests in for room location/preference so that may have helped.
