Which view from the Grand Floridian? - The DIS Discussion Forums

My family is going to be staying at the Grand Floridian for the first time in January, and we can't decide which view to get. The theme park view sounds awesome but do they all offer views of Cindy's castle? How are the garden and lagoon views? Does anyone have any pictures? If it makes a big difference, we definitely want to spring for the theme park view, but only if it's worth it.

Let me start by saying that I'm a HUGE GF fan. I've never stayed there, but that will change in 17 days

. I make a point of visiting the GF on every trip I take (and I think this will be trip #10 to WDW). That said, if you're set on seeing Cindy's castle, stay at the Contemporary in the tower with a MK view, as the views of the castle from GF and the Poly are from a distance. They are very pretty views, but if you want closeness and detail, go for the Contemporary. The GF has gorgeous grounds to look at. We have a garden view booked and I long to have a view of the other beautiful buildings at the Grand. Any time I want to, I can walk out to the beach there and look at the MK. If you check out the GF FAQ thread, Brook has recently posted some GORGEOUS pictures of her MK view from the main building at the Grand. To the best of my knowledge, lagoon views at the Grand will give you an unobstructed view of the Contemporary, the Polynesian, the GF wedding pavillion and the 7 Seas Lagoon in general, but you probably won't be able to see the castle at all.
