Vancouver Experts?

We are planning a trip and need some advice from some local residents. Flying Milwaukee to Seattle. Seattle= 2 nights, driving to Vancouver =2 nights, ferry to Victoria = 2 nights, then return to Seattle = 1 night. What could I eliminate to fit in 1 night in Whistler? Is it too far or too much driving?
Thanks, Ruth

I really don't know what days you can eliminate from which city. 2 days for each is pretty slim already. Only you can decide what is worth more to visit for you and your travel companions.

But here are some things from each city that are pretty outstanding, keeping in mind the limited time you have. Maybe it'll help you in your decision (or complicate it more ).

Whistler
Canoe or kayak in Alta Lake and to the River of Dreams (takes about 2 hours)
Peak to peak gondola ride
Walk through the Winter Olympic Park
Ziplining
Cheakamus Lake trail in Garibaldi Park (hike through BC's rain forest)

Victoria
Royal BC Museum

Vancouver
Stanley Park
Capilano Suspension Bridge and Lynn Canyon trail
Great Chinese food in Richmond (dim sum lunch or dinner)

Seattle
Music museum
Pike Place Market

Hope that helps you somewhat!

It isn't too much driving, but it would be hard to fit in a night in Whistler too. You could maybe eliminate the 2 nights in Seattle at the beginning of the trip and drive straight up to Vancouver. You could then do 2 nights in Vancouver, 1 night in Whistler, 2 nights in Victoria, and take the ferry back to Washington and do the 2 nights in Seattle last? I'm kind of assuming the last night in Seattle you planned was to ensure you wouldn't be delayed for a flight home?

Another idea would be to cut Victoria back to 1 night. It's lovely, but unless you're planning to see other parts of the Island also, 1 night is enough if you're pressed for time.

Good Luck

Aristocat 65 is right about maybe cutting Victoria back to 1 night.

Whistler is really worth spending some time in, especially if you enjoy the great outdoors. The drive on the Sea to Sky highway that takes you to Whistler is breathtaking, and with the recent highway improvements (in preparation for the Winter Olympics), it is definitely a more efficient drive than ever before.
