Christmas at MK: Ice Castle only at MVMCP?

We haven't purchased tickets for MVMCP yet (planning on going Tue Dec. 8 if we do go). We're still somewhat undecided, but there is one thing that will be a dealmaker:

We have seen video of the "ice castle" ceremony. Is that only at MVMCP, or does that happen every night? Is it part of Wishes or is an entirely different show? If it is part of MVMCP, we're definitely going. I'm not convinced that the snow, cookies, hot chocolate, special parade, and special fireworks are worth $60 each, but the ice castle is what drew us to WDW during the holidays to begin with.

Thanks!

Chad

Nope. Every night. When it gets dark.

Not related to Wishes or any other show.

They light the Castle Ice Lights with their own short "ceremony."

It's really great - I wish they would leave them up later into the year - the rumor the first year they did it was that they would leave them up for a full year - bad rumor.

Does anyone know if they will be up past New Years Eve, through January at all? We will be there Jan 2 - 10. I will be so sad if they are not on then! They are one of my most favorite things, I always find it hard to leave the park at night and pretty much watch them while walking the whole way out! I'd even move my trip some, if I could, just to see them but we can't go before that. So, is there any hope they will be on all that week??

I'd expect their last night Illuminated would be Sun. Jan. 3.

Wow, Robo! I haven't been here in about 6 months since our last trip(I missed it more than I realized!), until very recently and you are still here being awesome and quick with the answers! So, I thank you for your very quick answer! However, I wish your answer was better! Now, I'm very glad they will be up through the 3rd, but are you fairly certain that they won't be up the rest of that week at all? My favorite park is MK, but now we will definitely have to get park hoppers just for that reason cause we want to go see the Osborne lights, good through the 3rd also. But, now we have to see the Castle lights both nights cause I've got to see them as often as we can! I'm sure you've heard of some disney guests who cry at the fireworks and lights, I'm sure that will be me, this time knowing the lights won't be up our whole trip, in addition to just that they are so beautiful! Oh well, at least they are up a couple days, but rushing to get back will be hard, we rarely park hop cause it just wears us out! Again, thanks for the quick answer, I really appreciate it!
