Question Best bag to use for diapers and other gear at parks?

Of course I waited until almost the last minute, but I really need a new bag for the parks. I have been using a backpack type drawstring bag, but it only has one main compartment and a small outside zip. I went crazy trying to find stuff in that bag last time, and it is pretty worn from years of use.

I have twins (10) and a toddler (19 months). The older kids carry their own backpacks, but I still need to carry some diapers, drink bottle for baby, other baby gear, my camera, etc. I think a sling or cross-body bag style might be best so that I can manage with the baby better, but I would also consider a backpack.

I'd love to hear your recs I am 3.5 weeks out, so I can still get an order online if I act quickly. Please help!

Thanks!

I'd actually recommend 2 bags. One small cross body bag with valuables and personal items (camera, cell phone, money, tickets, lip gloss, quick access to a small hand gel, etc.) and a larger bag with baby items that you can leave on the stroller and not worry about it (ie, no valuables). We used a back pack that hung on the handle of our umbrella stroller, but since you don't carry this bag much, it doesn't have to be super comfortable. We have a LE diaper bag backpack.

For my personal bag, I have the Overland Equipment Placer, but I like the looks of some of the other bags. The OE Bliss is a little bigger. Sherpani has some cute bags, too. The Placer is small, and I hardly notice it. I don't even feel like I need to take it off to eat!

Here's another one...

Check ebags (great reviews, too!).

With little ones, we've always hauled a back pack specifically for the baby... I had an Eddie Bauer backpack that was fantastic, and now have an eBags one that I LOVE (but they discontinued) but really, any backpack that fits well, has decent pockets and well-padded straps will do the job. Sometimes it gets left with the stroller, sometimes it comes on the ride with us. It's never been a problem (in terms of stuffing it around legs).

I use a Heys Travelmate (mines camo!) crossbody as my all-the-time bag - there is a space for everything, yet it lays really flat. It even has a waterproof pouch that held my camera AND phone on wet rides. I LOVE that thing! Have used it since for day trips and hikes - tomorrow it's going to the fair!

Based on several recent threads on here, I just bought a Kipling Fairfax bag to carry on our upcoming trip. Received it today, and so far I think it's going to work great! I like that it's lightweight, has lots of little "cubbies" for specific things, and it's soft........the straps and everything are not going to poke and scratch, etc. (which is miserable when you're hot and possibly sunburned, etc.) Bought mine on Ebay. Had also seen mention of Kipling bags spotted at TJMaxx and stores like that......I popped in Marshall's yesterday and saw a few in there, great prices but not a big selection.

Thanks for your help!

BTW, my daughter thought this guy was funny, so she wanted me to add it to my response
