Best place to rent sea racyers

From what I understand, we can rent sea racyers on Bay Lake or Crescent Lake. Which do you prefer?

I would choose a Bay Lake or Seven Seas Lagoon resort to rent boats. There is so much more to explore than on Crescent Lake. You have the Magic Kingdom and all the Magic Kingdom resort hotels. You even can get a close up look at the long closed Discovery Island.

In a few weeks when my family and I are staying at the Contemporary were hopefully going to rent one of the Sea Raycers from there and go drive in both Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.

I feel that a trip through the beautiful byways of the land along the Sassagoula River would be great... from downtown Disney, Pleasure Island to Port Orleans...

I would definitely rent from one of the resorts near MK so you can get the benefit of lots of space between Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. However - isn't Cresent Lake the area in front of YC/BC and Boardwalk? I don't think you can get to downtown disney from there - I think you just have the lake and the canal that leads down to Hollywood Studios. I could be wrong - but I don't think you can get there from Cresent Lake. I THINK you can rent boats separately at downtown disney and then go in canals over towards Port Orleans. Hopefully someone else will know for sure.

Sounds like MK resorts are the best bet. After looking at the map, it does look like Cresent Lake does not to to POR or DTD. Thanks!

We have rented from WL and Poly.
We prefer to rent at Poly...like the area around Poly and GF because the water is smooth and fun to zoom around on in the water mice.
at WL we started in Bay Lake but zoomed over to the Seven Seas Lagoon....the water is a little choppier in Bay Lake and I was a little more nervous in the little boat.....yes I am a chicken.

its really one of the funnest things we have done at WDW

You can cover some serious ground if you rent one on Bay Lake. We rented at the Poly so we could take some pictures of MK from the water. I ended up getting great shots of that, the CR, WL, the ferry, the old Discovery Island (RIP) and more.

We had a blast ripping around the lake "chasing" each other as well. Money well spent!

OK, I know it's here somewhere, but asking is so much easier!

What are the cost for the Sea Raycers?

So my 14 year old (turning 15 years old on the trip) girls will be able to have their own boat renting at the poly, GF, WL or Contemporary right?

Now DH is really excited for this! Each trip, we say we'll rent and then never do. I think this time he will blow a gasket if we don't!

2 years ago, you had to be 16 years old to drive the boats alone. You could drive the boat if you were 12 - 15 with an adult.

I'm not sure if that has changed.

I thought I read somewhere that the age requirements to drive alone are different for the MK resorts than resorts such as CSR or CBR because there is more activity on the Seven Seas Lagoon.
