Mickey's backyard barbeque?

Has anyone done this....is it worth 2 dining credits?

I know the food won't be great, we have done Hoop dee doo twice and you definately don't go there for the food choices...LOL

So good for a 2 yr old??

thanks

I ahve never been, but I ahve two co-workers who love it and they take tehir kids every time.

Personally, I don't think it's a great use of 2 credits. I'd rather use 2 credits for a nicer/signature place. If it were me, I'd pay OOP for the BBQ and use my credits elsewhere.

We loved this last year! We took our 1 year old daughter and 3 year old son. Our daughter just danced the whole time - she loved it. Our son wasn't crazy about characters so him and Daddy played this little bowling game the whole night. I think it was totally worth it though.

We LOVE the BBQ - great fun, all you can drink and primo BBQ-style food. But I never use TS credits for it - I just pay out of pocket. You get much better value from two regular table service meals. Then, with the extra credit, you can do a Signature TS or have a TS lunch one day.

We didn't care for the BBQ, but if we hadn't tried it we'd never know that, right?

We thought it was too hot and too chaotic. My DD never did really get to dance with the characters. She danced, but there were so many people on the dance floor that they never noticed her and she couldn't get close. We left early. We felt it paled in comparison to the HDDR which we love and are doing again on our upcoming trip. We probably won't ever go back to the BBQ.

As for whether it's 'worth it' or not, you'd have to decide that. The 'cost' of the BBQ on the DDP is $22.50 per adult credit and $13.50 per child credit. Would the meals you did in place of the BBQ -- (2) 1 credit meals -- cost more than that? Probably. If there are enough places you'd like to eat, and it fits the budget, you could consider paying OOP for the BBQ and using your credits elsewhere.
