what restaurant in front of rivers of america?
Is there a restaurant that one can sit and eat at that you can also see fantasmic? I remember sitting somewhere there on my very first trip years ago but can not remember for the life of me what its called.
we had cheese cake and it was yummy !!!

I know that when we ate at CO, we were able to see the river, but I am not sure of the vantage point. I think you may be thinking of the French Market. I don't know how much you would see there either with so many people there.

Might have been Cafe Orleans. You can also get priority seating for Fantasmic which includes non-alcohlic drinks and some pretty fancy cookies & snacks. It's pricey about $60 a head. However, if you a high maintenance individual (ahem, like myself) it's well worth it. Frankly, that's the only way I'll do Fantasmic. We do it about every 4 years or so. In between, we use Fantasmic time to ride rides & get shopping done.

It could have also been River Belle Terrace? I believe you have somewhat of a view from there.....

I am not sure if you can see much of F with all the people walking in front of you whether it be Riverbelle Terrace, French Market or Cafe Orleans. It is always such a crowded mess when we are there.

You really can't see too much but you could try any of these 2, River Belle Terrace, counter service only and the tables go quick!), Cafe Orleans, table service but it's sort of behind where the control center is and there are a lot of people walking by, French Market, but it too is sort of behind a lot of stuff, French Market is counter service.

We got a table at River Belle Terrace and had an OK view. I would suggest getting a table toward the front - the tables have umbrellas that are down and it's hard to see around the umbrella pole. Also be prepared for people to ask if they can stand behind you - we had a ton of people walk behind our table and just stand there with their backs against the window (the window looking out from the inside part of RB Terrace). It was a little awkward to eating and having people literally standing less than 2 feet away, right behind our table, waiting for F! to start.

River Belle Terrace - we got a table outside about an hour before F!, then some people left and we moved to a table right by the railing. We had a great view - this was in August 2005.

We had dinner at RBT not that long ago and the outside tables started getting staked out around 5 pm. Yikes. Another day we had mint juleps and cheesecake at FM while F!
was playing. The outer tables were crammed, they were mostly standing but many people had their kids standing on the tables. Anyway... I am not sure how much you could see from FM we couldn't see a thing and judging by people standing at the edge of the restaurant IDK if they could either LOL But at RBT it is slightly elevated so you might be able to see over the crowds staking out a spot that early though doesn't sound good to me

I agree with Riverbelle Terrace. We've sat there plenty of times. Only thing is that you have to get there early, and there is a walkway right in front of the restaurant. Although you are elevated, the people walking back & forth can be distracting, especially when they stop in the middle & the CMs have to move them along.
