Question Help!!! DVC Villa research

I need help! I took my family on our first Disney vacation last Christmas for 2 weeks and stayed at POR and we had a wonderful time. Now I'm really interested in DVC and renting points and staying at one of the villas in Sept/Oct to see how we like it and then look into buying. My dilemma? I can't figure out which one to stay at!!!! Can anyone give me any ideas? I have two girls ages 4 and 13 and I'm trying to figure out which one has the best ambiance, pool area, activities. I'd really like to spend a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the resort(s) this time around since we spent all of our time in the parks last year. Help...Anyone??????????/

My two favorite on site DVC Resorts are Villas at Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Villas. In my opinion the strong points of those resorts is the outstanding theming.
If you don't choose to stay at these resorts, it would be well worth your time to visit and possibly have lunch.

I can't tell from your post, but if you are interested in buying you should visit all the resorts.

Good luck!

Are we still trying to figure out the "big project?"
The answers are probably right in front of us

My vote would probably be the Boardwalk. It has a prime location with Epcot in its backyard...it is just a short walk or boat ride. DHS is a little further away but still walking distance. The rooms are decorated beautifully and are all being refurbed right now too. You can't beat the BW view and view of the lake either. There is a nice big pool area. (provided that clowns don't scare you )Your kids and you will love the evening entertainment on the BW. It is a gorgeous resort with tons to offer.

Have fun with whatever you choose.

If you mean THIS Sep/Oct, your choices may be very limited. I would see what is available before getting my hopes too high for a particular resort. Good luck!

I would agree with this statement - I am on waitlists for 9/30-10-6 for AKV or BLT and do have a reservation OKW which I made 4 months out.

For the dates you are considering, you will have very little choice. You either need to look further in the future or take what you can get. Members make their reservations at their home resort 11 months out. A member can book at a non-home resort at 7 months out. So at this time, members are looking at booking the end of June 2010 and into July 2010.

Yellowstone was amazing and is a lot more inviting than Disney right now. Could we be selling it all in the near future? Maybe.
