Very very pi**ed, who can i call??

First of all, I would be totally fine paying $237 for an upgrade from a value to a deluxe so please don't reply and say "well, you should just pay it because look at the upgrade you got in return". I would have payed it and forgot about it... but this is RIDICULOUS.

Talked to HAROLD from guest services 5 minutes ago. Logged into account inline at it said balance was $231 for sept trip. Not true. It's paid in full and I even received $6 credit back because of tax or something for the free upgrade from asmo to ssr.

So I'm totally confused and call in and they give me to a supervisor because the girl says i still owe that. i say i don't. she gets harold.

harold is all swell and super and claiming hes from ohio too and hes gonna fix it for me no problem. at this point im loving harold, very nice man. he says oh boy, someone changed your package yesterday hmmm why would someone do that? and pouts me on hold for five minutes. then come on the line and says so-and-so changed it per our request and i said uhhh NO and he said yes you requested a prefferred room at the movie and i said uhm no i had a standard atthe movies and now at SSR, where there is no standard/prefferred and i was in SSr yesterday as well, so how could i request a prefferred room atthe movies when im no longer staying there? and he says hmmm good point and puts me on hold for another 5 mins and then comes on to say this is ridiculous and hes going to submit a complaint in writing regarding this other cm who did this because this isnt the first time hes seen this particular person mess something up.

anyway, he talks for a few mins and says hold on it wont let me alter it. so after 25 minutes on hold he comes on to say that he figured out what happened. he said to be upgraded to SSR you had to be in a preferred room at a value and that is why they charged me 237.44 because that was the difference between standard and prefferred at the movies for 14 nights. uhh what? nobody told me that. so then he says and you need to make the payment right now to keep your upgrade.

im like hmmm this sounds sketchy... iw ant to talk to a super. he says he is a guest relations super and i say yes i know that and i want to talk to someone above you because none of this is right and you are telling me things over and ovr and everytime i say i dont understand where this part of the promotion comes into play you just keep saying "thats the way it goes". and i want a supervisor.

so he starts laughing and says "jesus christ" under his breath and then says, its only 237 for a 4000 upgrade, most people would take that in a heartbeat. and i said yes, so would i! its not about the money its about the way youre telling me this was all part of the promotion and that its okay to randomly charge amounts to my bill that were never explained to me. he then said "well thats what happens when you dont read the fine print" and i said where is the fine print??? and he laughs again and says we dont have any supervisors here today, someone will call you tomorrow, have a magical day and thank you for calling disney and HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would call Guest Relations and speak to someone else.

Ouch. Not cool. I would call back and ask to speak to someone else.

Be nice to the CM that answers because it was most likely not them that made the mistake. It will probably get you to a supervisor sooner

I would most definitely call back and speak to someone else in management asap-----especially before another CM or "Harold" modifies your ressie again without your knowledge or consent.

I would also go online and print out my reservation listed for SSR before it is changed. Do you still have your original paperwork when you made your reservation for a standard? Do you have your receipt when you paid it in full?

Just thought that was funny.. was there something in the fine print that indicated you needed to be in a preferred room? Might explain what the criteria was for the offer (since so many seem to be wondering)....I wonder if anyone else is having this issue.

I printed out my email from yesterday that confirmed SSR as paid in full. I then rec'd a call from a nice CM named Beverly, who apologized profusely, saying he had no business changing anything or telling me that those were the terms of the upgrade, because they were not.

I do want to let you all know though, that she did mention something about how the upgrade is working. She said people who have timeshares at the SSR usually dont come during this time, so they moved people straight from the values because the time it would take to move values to mods and then mods to deluxe and deluxe to villas simply would create a deadlock on the phone system. she said they are moving values (both standard and preferred) to villas, BUT the villas you get will be secondary to those who are staying on points. She said you will be in the buildings farthest from the lobby, restraurant etc but busses run through the entire resort. DVC members staying on points will get the springs rooms and other closer rooms of the other sections.

She also said that you will only receive the same charging amount as you would at the value, $500, then you have to come pay it off before you can change more to the KTTW card. Just an FYI.

I would call guest relations right away! I know that someone is there on Sundays . (we had a problem fairly recently and "our" guest relations rep was in on Sundays) I just wish I had the # for you. That is awful.

I'm afraid that I have no choice but to end it here. The original situation is on its way to resolution.

Just goes to show there are two things you don't mess with -

a) a persons cable tv
b) their vacations.
