Best dinner before Blue Man?

We are staying off-site this year, trying the Nick Hotel (at our kids request!).

Spending five days in Olando before our Disney Cruise.

We are going to see Blue Man and I'm wondering where you guys think we should eat before? We are going to 6pm show.

Take cabe to HRH or other hotel - eat there - then take boat to City Walk?

Or eat at Nascar, NBA or Margaritaville?

Our group is my family with 3 kids (10,7,4), my sister and family with 2 kids (11,8) and grandma.

Our kids love Rainforest Cafe - anything theme-y and fun.

We ate at Nascar last year - was hoping to try something new.

Thanks!!!

Susy

The Hard Rock Cafe is NOT at the Hard Rock Hotel.. it is closer to say NBA City on that side of Citywalk. Hard rock Cafe is also near the Blue Man studio if that helps.

My kids liked eating inside at Margaritaville.. they liked (and still like) the volcano that erupts inside and the songs. Margaritaville is a short walk to the Blue Man studio even though it is on the other side--but a just an "over the bridge" walk.

I wouldn't do NBA.. I thought the portions were small and it was expensive for what you got.

The Universal hotels: Portofino, Royal Pacific and HRH have restaurants in the hotel but IMO not super kid friendly and sort of on the expensive side. Case in point: we stayed at Royal Pacific 2-3 times and have never eaten at one of the restaurants there. It might be fun to walk inside the hotels --but if you are looking for Hard Rock Cafe, it isn't in the the Hard Rock Hotel but outside.

I've heard decent and not so decent things about Bubba Gumps Shrimp but we haven't gone.

the hard rock cafe is the closest restaurant to the blue man group. the closest of the hotels is the hard rock hotel. their restaurants are "the kitchen" which may have a character meal--you'll have to check the day. the other hard rock hotel restaurant is "the palm" steakhouse, which is very expensive. any of the citiwalk restaurants are very easy walks(2-5min)

My kids love Margaritaville--they have people walking around on stilts making balloon hats. Allow extra time in case whatever restaurant you choose is crowded.

Here's another vote for Margaritaville. My kids had a great time there.

For kids, Margaritaville IMO. For a really great dinner, either of Emeril's restaurants on property would fit the bill. We take our kids there and they love it, especially Tchoup tchoup.

I'd also say go for Margaritaville. Rainforest Cafe is fun for the kids, but they are all over the place in malls around the country, so you can go there any day.

Tchoup Chop is A restruant at the Royal Pacific owned by Emiral. Its pretty upscale Asian influenced food. Not BeniHana Style.

I would go with Margaritaville at CW.Great fun and food and prices...You might want to make advance dinner ressies cause it does get very busy..
