What is the first thing you do when you get to Disney? (besides checking in)

Our family = we get an ice cream cone on Main St. at MK

We drive from New Jersey so we usually just relax.

When I went with my family years ago we would check in then head to the monorail and ride to those resorts and past the parks. Give the kids a taste of what is in store the next day. When I went with my DH and DS in 2000 we got there in the morning so we went right to animal kingdom. Last week when we went we got there around 6 so we just checked in ... checked out the hotel ... and then went to get some groceries.

Have a fun lunch and grab all of the park brochures, and weekly schedules, then just sit and soak everything in!

We used to go the counter service in UK for fish and chips. Since finding Tour Guide Mike, we don't do that since we go to whichever park he recommends. We don't really have much of a tradtion for arrival now.

we usually get to the beach club have lunch in epcot and then take the monorail over to the magic kingdom for the rest of the evening enjoy some rides at our leisure and then watch Wishes

We try to get there as early as possible on check-in day...checkiin at the resort and check our bags if not doing ME, and then head to MK. It doesn't matter so much to me, but dh and dd really like to see the castle first thing.

After check-in, we always go straight to DTD and go shopping!

Then, depending what time we get to the World, either a park or back to the resort for dinner and a good nights rest before we start our adventure!!!

Don't forget to take a picture for us since you're going to beat us there! (Should have realized this was you on the Kona Kone thread!!!)

I'm not sure we have a first thing we always do... Although for me it's probably buy something from the first gift store I see

We got to SAB and get lunch from Hurricane Hannah's. If our room is ready, we'll go unpack and get settled and maybe nap. If its not ready, we will wander around Epcot until our room is ready.

We head to DTD to window shop, then head to The Earl OF Sandwich and then go to Goofy's Candy Co for made to order treats.

This will be the second trip in a row where we couldn't follow tradition...

Always head straight to MK for a ride on the TTA and the Carousel of Progress, then jump the monorail over to Epcot for a World Showcase dinner. It's not WDW until I hear 'paging Mr. Morrow...' I've ridden the ride and heard the spiel seventy-twelve times, but it still cracks me up

Didn't get to do the TTA in April, and won't again in October, but eventually we will get back on track with the tradition...so to speak

I don't think we have a "thing", but i kinda want one. We usually just check-in, unpack, grab a meal at the resort caf/restaurant, and the head to Magic Kingdom on our first tour day. We always walk down Main Street and take pictures in front of the castle.

We check-in, Get our room-looking like home...decorate the window...get our garden grocer order. Hit the resort store, pool and have dinner

early to bed. We don't like wasting our tix on a 1/2 day, but then again we go 12 days or more.
