Great deal on Omaha Steaks in Sunday Paper Coupon Circular-$39.99 Family Value Combo
I subscribe to the Washington Post's Sunday edition and received my coupon circulars this morning (Sat 7/25).
I found a coupon for Omaha Steaks which seemed to be a fantastic deal. For $39.99 you can get the Family Value Combo which consists of: 2 (5 oz.) Filet Mignons 2 (5 oz.) Top Sirloins 4 (4 oz. approx.) Boneless Chicken Breasts 10 (4 oz.) Omaha Steaks Burgers 4 (3 oz.) Gourmet Franks 4 (5.75 oz.) Stuffed Baked Potatoes Here is the link to the website which has info about the combo http://www.omahasteaks.com/servlet/browse/sku/45069. Note that the online price is $59.99 and only has 4 burgers. The coupon in the circular entitles you to an additional 6 burgers, for a total of 10 burgers. We had never tried Omaha steaks but figured for the price, we would give it a shot. We went to the store in Falls Church, VA to pick up our Combo today. They honored the coupon and we cooked the filet mignons, top sirloins and some burgers tonight. The steaks were delicious!!! The burgers were good too. We are planning to buy some more newspapers tomorrow to get more coupons for the combo. I didn't check to see whether the coupon applies to online orders since we have a local store. Also, when we were in the store, the clerk offered us an opportunity to purchase an additional combo for $39.99, excluding the extra 6 burgers. Since we had never tried the steaks, we only opted for the 1 combo and figured if we liked the meat, we can buy another paper tomorrow to get another coupon. They also gave us a 10% off coupon for our next purchase, some packets of seasoning and the booklet with instructions on how to cook the meat. The instructions were very helpful!! As a side note, I read an article in the Wall Street Journal a few weeks ago which said that due to the economy, less people are dining at steakhouses and therefore, you can find some great deals on beef out there.
