SSR bus stops

Does anyone know which area at SSR has the first bus stop. I would love to be able to be close to the first bus stop so that the busses are not full when they get to me. Thanks for the information.
I heard that the Springs area was the last bus stop, so even though it is close to everything, since the bus stop is last it isn't as good to stay there.

I think this is how it goes

* Grandstand

* Carousel

* Paddock

* Congress Park

* The Springs

Just so you know, the grandstand is super far from the main building. It's like 1 mile or so walk i think. I've stayed at Paddock and Congress Park and never had a full bus

I thought that the grandstand wasn't too far. It looked like 2 buildings were pretty close and 2 were really far away. It's hard to figure out how far you are when looking at a map. That was the one that I was thinking of requesting! The paddock and carousel looked really far to me.Okay, this just makes me think of more questions.

How far is congress park from the main area? Also, how far is congress park from downtown disney? Is that the area that is close to the path to DTD? Where in DTD does the path lead to?

Grandstand is the first stop but know that in addition to the guests from those 4 buildings you now have the guests from the Treehouse villas as they shuttle them over to the Grandstand bus stop.

The two buildings in the Grandstand near the pool are close to the main building.

Congress Park is the section closest to Downtown Disney, I would suggest you look at the map of SSR here on the DIS to gauge distances.

You're right. I think it's Carousel that's far away. Congress Park can be a walk too.

Correct. The Grandstand is not very far from the main buildings at all. The last time we stayed in the Springs section, we walked over to the Grandstand bus stations to ensure seats (and actually getting on the bus!). Now we always stay in the Grandstand.

Hello!

I too am staying @ SSR and would appreciate any info from some SSR vets.

Is it feasible/better to stay in the building (Congress Park) closest to Downtown Disney, walk over and take the buses to the theme parks from there? Or is Grandstand the way to go?

Ideally we will not be in our room too much and would like the know the QUICKEST buses to the various parks.

Also, would someone mind telling me how long it takes to get from SSR to MK on a bus, say about noon? Any ballpark figure to ANY park actually would be most helpful.

thanks for any help!

Quickest buses? all the buses to the MK takes the same amount of time! Not sure what you are asking here.

Grandstand is the first stop, Springs is the last stop for all parks.
Springs is the first stop, Congress Park is last stop for DTD bus.

There is also water transportation to DTD from the dock behind the main building.

You CANNOT get buses from DTD to the parks. There are not buses between DTD and the parks.

Time to MK is a combination of
wait time for bus
how many stops are after yours inside SSR
Drive time to MK
...from Grandstand it was about 20 minutes once the bus picked us up.

They do not run themepark buses to Downtown Disney anymore. Truly the wait is going to be the same from most all bus stops. Grandstand is the first stop but it is also now the stop where the Treehouse Villas use. So you have 4 Grandstand buildings and all the Treehouse Villas using this one stop.

If you want to see an actual scale of the resort, here's a map:

We just got back last week and we stayed in the springs. We had the building right by the bus stop but we were on the other end. Had an awesome view of the lake and fountain. We were the last stop and honestly never really had an issue with a full bus. The only time there was a full bus was on the way home from EPCOT and we opted to let people go ahead of us so we would not have to stand with a 2 year old. Lucky us....the next bus pulled up right behind the extremely full bus and we had plenty of room to relax as there were only a few people on it.

Has anyone had problems with the busses at the Springs section? That section is obviously the closest one to all the amentities that the resort offers. Does being last make it bad?

Just got back from SSR. Stayed in Congress Park, Building 26. Farthest buidling from DD. We did walk it numerous nights and it wasn't bad. But we have older kids now. Not sure with young ones how it would be.

Had no problem with getting buses at all. Friends stayed in the padlocks they would get on any bus and come to our stop and then we would all go together.

Not fair at all from the main building...but our building was the closest to the main building.....for us it was the perfect place to stay.
Have fun
