ONE night in Daytona Beach

I have a choice of two hotels...Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort on N Atlantic Ave and The Shores Resort and Spa on S Atlantic Ave. DD(21) and I will be there for about 24 hours (including sleeping) and were wondering if one or the other is in a better area for just walking around and doing "stuff" (like shopping? ).

This is a somewhat short notice trip...very unplanned. Both hotels look nice, but on such a limited amount of time, I'm more interested in the surrounding area. We'll have a rental car, but I'd rather just be out and about enjoying the area.

TIA

The Hilton for location since its just one night. If you were staying longer I would have picked The Shores Resort and Spa.

The Hilton is right next to Ocean Village.

We spent one night in Daytona before heading to WDW last year and stayed at the Hilton. I would definitely recommend it! You really can't beat the location, especially for a one night stay.

Thanks! Ocean Village is exactly the type of thing I was hoping for!
