Flight Regina to Toronto to Orlando ???
Hi everyone, I don't post a lot BUT am on the site at least once a day.... a quick question for someone familiar with Regina. My aunt is flying from Regina connecting in Toronto then to Disney...
1) does she pre clear US customs in Regina or does she wait until Toronto 2) if it is Toronto does she have to go out into the airport again and then go through US customs or do they have a separate Us customs for connecting flights (her stopover time is very short and she is worried about this) Thanks in advance..... |

As Toronto is your last Canadian port, she will clear customs there.

How short is her connection time, and what airline is she flying?
There are 3 separate parts of the process where she could experience delays... 1. If she has checked luggage, she needs to wait till it is unloaded from the Regina flight, and take it through to sling it onto the "US connections" belt. She may need to change terminals... someone more experienced with the TO airport than I am can probably tell you this if you tell which airline. 2. She needs to clear security (yes, they dump you out of the secure area into the regular baggage check area) 3. She needs to go through US preclearance. This is a VERY busy and large preclearance at the Toronto Airport. The preclearance is actually the easiest part to speed up, though the lines may look intimidating, because they have staff running along the lines asking when your flight goes... they pull you out of line and jump you ahead if you are running it tight. Personally, I hate connecting to a US flight through Toronto. I've made connections that were only 45 minutes (due to late-arriving 1st flight) but that involved actual running through the airport, in addition to lots of nail-biting and praying while waiting in various lines along the way. Check the airline's record for on-time arrivals and departures for the flights concerned, and also try if possible not to be booked on the airline's last flight of the day to her destination. |

Since you never said what airline your aunt was flying here is a link to the connection videos for Terminals 1 or 3 of Pearson Airport, because the airline she is flying will land at either one and from there they are very helpful saying what to do.

But in your aunt's case it doesn't matter anyway as she would have to pre-clear in Toronto, as others have stated. CR Resort Fan 4 Life, that is an excellent site. Thanks for posting
