Question Which park with parents- Epcot or DHS

I'm taking my parents to Disney World in September and would like to take them to a park other than Magic Kingdom (which is the only park they have ever been to). We will only have one day for the parks and I would like to take them to Epcot or DHS, but not sure which they would enjoy more. They are in their late sixties and wanted some opinions about which park they might prefer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Epcot would be my pick.

Epcot would be my choice. Would your parents like shows or rides more?Your parents may not be up RNR or TT at DHS but Soarin is suitable for any age. Test track is fairly tame. Epcot has all that food to choose from.

It has to be Epcot. They will likely enjoy Future World. I am certain they will love World Showcase.

I agree with PP. My parents went to WDW and they never stop talking about EPCOT.

Old people=EPCOT. Also, drinkers, lovers, and long-legged people. (I am all these things).

Xenophobes, five year olds, and the easily-winded, not so much.

We just got back with a group of 9, including my parents. I would say Epcot, hands down. After we left the Studios my parents said "I don't care if we ever go back there".

They loved Epcot though, especially the World Showcase. That surprised me because they have traveled extensively all over the world and have seen all those countries for real. They still enjoyed themselves immensely.

Definitely Epcot. There's a lot more variety there, especially for meals and shopping. The rides also fit the all ages category for nearly everything.

EPCOT! There is so much to do, see, eat, and drink there. DHS is lighter on the attractions, entertainment, and quality of food.

EPCOT. No question. Unless they love Hollywood stuff and cheesy acting stuff like they have at DHS; EPCOT!

Soarin' is a must. Get fast passes early in the morning and go back later. Just after dusk, be sure to sit with an ice cream near the entrance to Innoventions and wait for the shows of the Fountain of Nations. It is really nice just after dusk with the World Showcase in the background. Then take a stroll down to the World Showcase Lagoon for the Illuminations fireworks show to complete the evening. I HIGHLY suggest going on a day when there are EMH in the evening.

Follow this link to see one of the Fountain of Nations shows.

Another vote for Epcot. When we go down we usually spend 3 days in MK, 2 in Epcot, 1 in AK and 1/2 a day (if that) in HS. I can spend a day just in the World Showcase.

Epcot for sure! They would probably rather like to walk around the world showcase and try all of the food, than watch you guys have fun on TOT. I know I sure would!

Between DHS and EPCOT, definitely EPCOT. Though I do think that your parents, in their 60's, aren't that old. My DM is turning 70 this year at WDW and she has no problem keeping up with me, and that's inc. going to TL and BB! Sometimes I actually forget she is almost 70!

Of the 4 parks, we do MK the least. Mostly because we live near DLR and we have the orgiinal. EPCOT and AK are our favorites. Both my DM and DD(almost 10) enjoy them both. Our least fav is DHS. Sometimes we only spend a 1/2 day there. ToT is great (but now we have our own). Love RnR. The Indy show is good as is Lights, Motors, Action show.

I go along with the masses though, there's more for your parents at EPCOT. I would skip Innoventions though. Do World Showcase, The Sea, The Land, and Test Track are all great for your parents. My DM loves TT!
