Can you transfer unused tickets

I don't know if this is the right forum to ask this or not. BUT, my sister is an AP holder. She and her dh will be staying at pop with us during our 8 day visit in Dec. We were talking the other day that maybe if Disney comes out with a free dining offer for our dates (oh please please please do!) That maybe it would be cheaper for her to buy two one day passes to get free dining for the 8 days. That is, unless they come out with some phenomenal AP rate for the begininng of December.

So, my questions are 1) can she do this? 2) Does she have to use the tickets to get the free dining and 3) if she doesn't use the tickets, can she transfer them to other family members 4) How would she go about transferring them?

TIA for your help!

1) Yes.
2) Not the TICKET part, but she'll need the key-card with her.
3) Yes.
4) She can either:
a) have the resort "take the ticket off" of the room key-card and issue a separate ticket, or
b) just NOT EVER USE the ticket at a park turn-style, and, after the trip, just hand that key-card to someone else to use the ticket. (The expired date and wrong name on the key-card will not affect the usability of the TICKET portion.)

I have a very similar question - we are FL residents but we bought 2 one day passes to book our 2 rooms for Free Dining - can we apply the value of those tickets to Disney Play 4 day tickets?

The resort cannot take the ticket off the KTTW. I thought only Guest Services or ticket windows at the parks can do anything with ticketing. Also, doesn't the KTTW card expire on the day you check out?

1- Don't think that's true.

2- No. Only the key stops working and any dining plan expires.
(EMH use will stop at close of the PM EMH park that check-out day.)

But, any ticket(s) that remain on the KTTW card will stay valid up to 14 days after first use at a park.
(A ticket that was never used will remain valid "forever.")

Just to note that the AP rates came out today for December, and they're really pretty good. She should check them out.
