1st Hair cut at Magic Kingdom still?

Does the barber shop in MK still do the special things for baby's first hair cut?

Thanks!

Do you know how much they charge for a cut and if you need to make an appt? We are planning on getting DD's first haircut there too.

No appointments...get there as soon as you can after the park opens. The line forms pretty quickly and there are usually only 2 stylists working. I think that the haircuts are ~ $12, well worth the money. Have your camera ready! My sons had their 1st cuts there....even now my husband & boys love to get their haircut when we go..there is always a little pixie dust added

Have a great trip

Current price is $17. Still not bad for a haircut at the happiest place on earth! My DD gets her hair cut there everytime we go. It is cheaper than BBB! DD had her 1st haircut there at 2.5 yrs old. They give you a hat, certificate and the hair they cut with some "pixie dust." They do a GREAT job with kids!

What a cool thing to do!

So, you line up when the park opens...and then what? Do they put your name on a list, or do you literally wait in a line for the next stylist?

They don't take reservations, it is first come first serve.
I believe when I last looked it up it was about $15 for a hair cut. I plan to take my son in Sept for his first hair cut, so I have been looking around for the info myself. It seems that they give the kids a certificate of bravery and a pair of ears that says my first hair cut! They also make it fun for them as they get their hair cut so they won't be scared. They cover the kids in stickers and make jokes and such. I can't wait to take DS1.

My DD4 had her first haircut last September 08 at MagicKingdom. It was really a wonderful experience. The kiddo before her even had the barbershop quartet singing "When You Wish Upon A Star" as she got her cut. If only we had been 10 minutes earlier. I highly recommend it - DD still talks about getting her hair cut at DisneyWorld and having pixie dust sprinkled over her. Here's a photo of her and her ears!

Yes! DD had hers done in Oct. They gave her a TON of mickey stickers all over her legs and clothes, a 1st haircut certificate, a 1st haircut mickey ears hat, and they wrapped her hair for us.
