YOU PICK--Top 5 Eating Experiences for Little Ones

Hi all!
We're just a few days shy of being able to book our ADR's for our first trip home and we would like your input for some restaurants. We have already decided on the Rainforest Cafe and Ohana Character breakfast. (Believe or not, Lilo & Stitch are more desired by my little princess than Cinderella's castle!) We are really not looking for pricey sit down meals, but more the ambience that would keep a 7 year old boy and 3 year old girl entertained. So give us your TOP PICKS!!

Thanks!

This topic is not DVC specific, so I am moving it over to our Restaurant Board where it is more suited.

Chef Mickey's (what boy does not like experiencing monorails going through the Contemp. "Canyon")

Cape May (BC) and Crystal Palace (Pooh/Tigger..) are also nice character meals for young ones

If you are at AKL, then Boma is a must..

my DS likes Tony's Town Square (MK) (although it helps tha spaghetti is a favorite food, which it tthe other consideration, food favorites)

According to my 5 year old (four on our last trip) his favorites are:

LeCellier - this was named without any prompting - though DH talks about the fillet and sighs frequently... lol
Chef Mickeys
Garden Grill
Crystal Palace
Whispering Canyon

This trip he is dying to go to Hollywood & Vine for the Character lunch.

This is our schedule for our upcoming trip:

Hollywood & Vine - Lunch - Character Meal
Chef Mickey's - Breakfast - Character Meal
Rose & Crow - Dinner - tradition for our anniversary dinner
LeCellier - Dinner
Crystal Palace - Dinner - Character Meal

Akershus breakfast in Epcot. The food is great and so is the character interaction.

My DD5's top 4 are Akershus, CRT (dinner), Teppan Edo and Narcoosee's (go figure)

For my kids it was:

CRT Breakfast (my youngest loved the princesses)
Ohana Breakfast (Stitch tried to sit in my daughter's booster seat)
Tusker (Donald is one of my daughter's favorite)
Luau (kids get to go and stage and get a hula lession)
Rainforest Cafe (my kids loved the animated rainforest)

Cape May has good character interaction becuase it is less crowded
Hollywood and Vine was good too, the CMs had the kids up dancing

My favorite is le Cellier. I have done a lot of traveling and I have not found a fillet that can beat le Cellier's. We plan to eat there twice on our next trip to WDW.

I am back to once again tout Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Our kids LOVE it and it is the request to go back every year.

Costs 2 TS credits or is rather expensive, but the kids get to dance with Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, & Goofy. They get to watch a band and learn dances. See a cowboy lasso show. And...unlimited ice cream treats!

For the parents, the buffet is pretty good and there is free draft beer and wine.

I have 3 girls, and their top 5 would have to be...

1. Chef Mickey's breakfast. We were there 1 year ago this week and they STILL talk about CM and how they can't wait to go back.

2. Epcot Princess Breakfast. With 3 girls, this is pretty much a given.

3. Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner. However, the main appeal here was the characters, and since they don't do that anymore, I don't know if they'd like it as much.

4. Coral Reef. The meal was interminably long (over 2 hours) but they were truly fascinated with the fish.

5. Tusker House breakfast. Another great character meal.

Red face

Chef Mickey's (Breakfast & or Dinner)
Garden Grill
Ohana (Breakfast)
Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Rainforest Cafe (though my DS(6) when we went he was 3 and he hated it. The big gorilla and all the loud noises thunder etc. kept scaring him. But we loved the food. Good luck.

Our DD (2) loved Chef Mickey's. She got so excited when she saw the first character.

She also really liked Biergarten. She likes to do the chicken dance. The music and dancing is fun. We all really enjoy it. She actually liked the food too and she is pretty picky. She had 2 bowls of the potato leek soup. We were telling the waitress how amazing it was that she was eating so much because she is not a good eater, and she brought the recipe out to us. We didn't even ask for it. She was very nice.
