We had a very early flight on the 9th so we left our house around 4:00 a.m. . By the time they served a snack on our Jet Blue flight, I was starving. Here's my snack. These little cookies were yummy .

After a short trip on the ME, we were checking in at POFQ. I did the online check-in so the whole thing took about 30 seconds. Our order from Garden Grocer was also there for us already. We got our carry ons and groceries settled into the room and headed out for Animal Kingdom.

Everyone was starving by the time we got to Rainforest Cafe around 2:00 p.m. . We waited about 15 minutes for a table.

We were taken to our table and were seated right next to this guy.

Our server was very friendly but service was S-L-O-W. We ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks:

These were your average mozzarella sticks - nothing spectacular but certainly good.

For entrees, I got the Planet Earth Pasta. I get this dish everytime we go to RFC. It is penne pasta with sausage, marinara sauce, fresh mozzarella and fresh grated parmesean. Yum!

DH got a burger and fries. He liked it .

DS got the mac and cheese. He said it was just okay.

DD got pasta with marinara sauce. She didn't eat much of it but liked what she had.

All in all, this meal was just okay. It took almost two hours from start to finish and we didn't even have dessert. That is just a little long for me. This meal was OOP as RFC does not accept the regular dining plan. With tip the bill was $73.

Overall grade - C+

After spending some time in the AK, we stopped and used a couple of snack credits to share some homemade ice cream sandwiches in Dinoland. These are awesome. You can have them with oatmeal cookies or chocolate chip. We got two chocolate chip ones and still had a ton we couldn't eat. They are huge!

Overall grade - A

Our next day was at Epcot. We had lunch at the Land food court.
Dh and DD shared a chinese plate.

I had the rotisserie chicken with double mashed potatoes because DS wanted some too.

DS got mac and cheese with grapes and a pudding.

We all shared a slice of chocolate cake

and cheesecake for dessert.

This food was very good! We all kind of shared and had more than enough only using three CS credits. They have quite a variety at this location as well.

Great update. When we ate at the Rainforest (I thought we had the slowest service too....we could have eaten at a signature meal for the time we ate at the Rainforest and I wasn't too happy with the food)
I love Sunshine Season...I think they have the best CS and I had the rotisserie chicken too and shared it with my son b/c he doesn't eat chicken nuggets...he likes rotisserie or grilled chicken. Can't wait to read more yummy reviews from you. Thank you for sharing

Our dinner was at Chefs de France. It is one of our faves even though it often gets iffy reviews. I am happy to say it didn't disappoint . Our PS time was 5:10. We checked in about 10 minutes early and were seated immediately. Our server was wonderful but I am afraid I didn't note his name. He was very pleasant and attentive. All of our meals started with a warm, crusty roll.

DH and I both decided on the French menu which lets you pick an app., entree, and dessert for a set price. You can order this meal on the dining plan.

DH started with the salad but got it with house vinagrette instead of the blue cheese listed on the menu. he loved this salad.

I got the French Onion Soup and it was divine! I would say it was the best soup I have ever eaten. There was lots of cheese and croutons and it was piping hot. It was soooo good.

The kids both got an app. with their dinners as well. They both chose the cheese pastry. It also came with a small side salad which was nice. Neither of the kids much cared for this but DH and I both loved the pastry and I enjoyed the salad as well.

For our entrees, DH and I both got the chicken. We both thought is was delish.

Both kids got the breaded chicken strips served with pasta. This came with a tomato sauce on the side but we didn't use it.

While we were enjoying our dinner, we were visited by a little guest:

This was really cute and the cast member with Remy was outstanding. The kids enjoyed this a lot.

When it was time for dessert, the servers brought out a special birthday treat for DD who was turning 4 on the trip. They sang a birthday song to her and presented her with this:

There was a candle for her to blow out in the cookie before we took the pic.

Both kids picked the chocolate ice cream as their dessert.

And DH and I both chose the puff choux with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. This was pretty good. Not my favorite dessert and rather messy to eat.

We just love this restaurant and I am glad we fit it into our schedule.

We love Chefs de France. My husband got some chicken dish and my son got what your kids got but my son didn't like it. He did enjoy my husband meal b/c he ate half of it. When we go there next time I have to order from the adult menu for my son (he might just eat half but he loved that chicken dish).

Sunshine Seasons! I knew there was a name for that place! I can't say I blame your son. I would much rather have some rotiserrie chicken than nuggets any day .
