Can you tell me if my kids would enjoy the afternoon tea at GF?
Hello!
We will be celebrating my daughter's birthday at the end of this month, and staying at our dvc resort. We live nearby, so it is just a quick weekend trip. I am trying to do something a little different. I have two little girls who I think would be interested in going: the bday girl will be nine, and my other is 5. Has anyone experienced it? Do you think they would find it fun? I'm assuming you dress nicely for this. The Mrs. Potts tea looks good for the girls. Any experience or advice you might have I would love to hear. Thanks!

When DH and I went to the tea we saw lots of little kids there, they were so cute and they seemed to have a great time, especially when they got to pick their desserts from the tray....

I think I'm going to do this! This looks fun! I wonder if you can make reservations online?

We just had tea there last week and while there, a CM explained the following tea to a parent with young daughters:
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/res...ess-tea-party/ My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party is a fantasy-come-true, with exciting gifts for your special princess (or prince). Princess Aurora may even join the fun at this enchanting party in the Garden View Lounge at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Girls 3 to11 years old are encouraged to attend dressed as their favorite Disney Princess, and a parent will need to accompany the young Royal. Your hostess, an enchanted rose called Rose Petal or one of her magical friends, will entertain the princesses with storytelling and songs. As they sip tea, the girls will receive the royal treatment and perhaps a special visit from Princess Aurora or another regal guest. The Guest decided that would be a better "tea" experience for her children. Hope this is helpful...

My DD is doing the princess tea party at the GF next week for her birthday. She is so excited - I'm excited too! I think this would be a great match for your DD's too.

I've done the afternoon tea with my girls (first time they were 10 and 9) and they loved it. We did it again a few weeks ago. We made a whole "girls day out" and did the GF Spa afterwards. The girls had the "My first facial" and "My first pedicure".
Another options since your girls are younger is the Wonderland Tea Party. My kids did it for many years and loved it. It is a one hour tea at 1900 Park Fare with Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter., They have tea and decorate your own cupcakes and play games etc. It is much less expensive (about $40 per child) than the My Perfect Princess Tea. Have fun whatever you choose.

Yes, you can make an ADR for it. They also were accepting walk-ins when we were there but it is a very small cafe.

I was there last week with my mom and 15 year old niece. We had a great time. Also, there were a few other children there and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves.
