Sorry I missed this yesterday

Ive only ever got the train from Disney so Im not sure about how safe the parking is at Val d'Europe- I would go for the disney option.

The trains from there all go to Paris so you cant get on the wrong one.

It costs 13Euros for a mobilis ticket (this will give you return journey to and from paris and unlimited use of the metro whilst there)

It stops at several station in central paris but i think the best one to get off at for Eiffel Tower is Charles de Gaulle Etoile. Change here onto metro line 6 to Trocadero. Get off here and you can walk and see the ET from what I think is the best place. You can then walk down towards it if you want.

I was hoping someone would have replied as we intend to do it one day this week in our trip! I'm sure we'll muddle through somehow

We also like using the batobus to get round Paris - its like a boat bus with several stops where you can get off and explore.
You can get on this at Eiffel Tower and then sail down the river to Notre Dame or the Louvre

http://www.batobus.com/english/8escale.htm

It is very easy and pleasant to walk from along the river from Notre dame to the Louvre or from the Louvre to Place de la Concorde then up the Champs Elysee back to the same station

Its a long walk up the Champs Elysee but it can be interesting - lots of shops to look at on route and you can bribe the children with a look in the disney shop on route or McDonalds at the top (handy for a toilet stop before you get the train back to disney)
