I was assigned cabin 2560 for our upcoming cruise. How do I find out if it is twin beds? (other then calling tm) We need them.

All you need to do is call and have it noted on your reservation or you can just tell your stateroom host when you meet them the first afternoon. All of the main beds in cats 4-12 can be set up as a king or two twins. They say they are Queen but they are bigger than a regular queen mattress when put together.

Have it noted on your reservation. Just to let you know though, sometimes it does not get to your SRH that it is needed, but either way it is not a big deal. ALL of the rooms have twin beds. They are made up standardly as the two twin mattress being pushed together making a queen (the twin beds are smaller than standard in width). So if you get there and it is made in the standard format, just tell your SRH. While you are at supper (dinner) during your turn down service, they will split them. So do not worry about it. Call and have it noted or if working with a TA have her note the account and know it is nothing to worry about.

It does make getting around it the room a bit cramped. They take the night stands that are normally on the outsides of the queen/king bed and place them between the twins. That places the twin right up against the wall adjacent to the bathroom. There is a set of drawers just opposite that wall and next to the closet. Tight walkway... be careful not to stub your toes.

Here's a visual for you:

As you can see, all they do is move the night stand that was up against the wall into the middle, split the beds, and make up them up. Since the night stand in the middle was already there, the "footprint" that this configuration occupies in the room is the same. The bed is closer to the door, and is right up against the wall, but not really a problem.

As already stated, this request can be made to your cabin steward at the beginning of the cruise. There really is no need to ask in advance.

TCD

p.s. I should add that the beds normally look neater when made up, but I was not able to get a photo before they had already been jumped on. Cruises are exciting, you know?
