I was thinking about this before so I thought I'd make a thread about it.
I had my last day of year 10 today and I was thinking about just how much has changed since this time last year. I don't want to go into too much detail but lets just say that last year I had a happier family. Also, schools a lot different as I've come to Key Stage 4 so all my classes are different and I'm hardly in any classes with my friends anymore. So I've drifted apart from some of them but I've become closer to others as well. I've made quite a few new friends too and also I've got 3 best friends instead of 2. Other small things that I've noticed have changed as well. For example, this time last year I didn't have Facebook - now I'm addicted to it lol. And - wait for it - I didn't like The Script! I hadn't read Twilight and I'd never heard of Taylor Swift. So it's weird that those things are now my favourite bands/books now. I think my personality has changed as well. I'd say I'm more confident and outgoing now, which is good. -------------------------------- So what about you? How much have you changed in a year?

I have changed a lot, maybe not in the last year, but over the coarse of my high school years.
When I was a freshman I attempted the emo stage, and I didn't really feel comfortable with myself. I didn't have that many friends, and I was just weird. Sophomore year got progressively better, I was normal :] I worked hard and got good grades, and I had more friends:] Junior year, I had a lot of friends, and I let my grades slip because of it. But then second semester I did awesome and still kept my friends, and once again I matured. Now I have a job, I have a car, I have responsibilities, and I am looking for a place to go to college, so I really have changed alot :]

I wouldn't even recognize the girl I was last summer. Seriously.
After my first year at college, I have changed so much. I am so much more confident in myself. I know how to handle tough situations with my head held high. I know what I can and cannot handle with people. I know how to be a true friend and girlfriend. I've learned to love someone with everything I've got, which has really changed me. I've learned how to live on my own and take care of myself when Mom and Dad were an hour and half away from me. I'm still the same-ish personality wise. That hasn't changed much. I've just become much more confident and true to myself. I know who my friends are and who never will be. I've grown up soo much in the past year. I've had to deal with so many adult situations already, and I now consider myself I woman, and not a girl. Looking back, I was so immature. After I graduated high school, I felt like the world revolved around me and blahblahblah. But now, I've humbled more, and I know there are billions of other people in this world, and that I really don't matter as much as I thought I did.

I don't take crap from anyone.
I'm a mess of health problems. But most importantly, I've reestablished my outlook on life. |

I think I've changed a lot. I'm in college, so I've learned a lot. I've also matured more. I drive now. I can make friends with anyone who is sitting next to me in class now. I'm more outgoing. I'm more responsible.

Yes. Before this year I was shy, quiet, and up tight. Now I don't care what people think about me and ridiculously laid back lol. I also used to be wicked self-conscious about my body and being smart hah. Since then I've lost weight and grew a few inches.
Style wise I've changed too. A few years ago I used to wear mostly all black but now I wear an array of colors. I'd only wear baggy clothes to hide my body. I'm glad I've mature because I really like the person I am becoming.

This time last year, I had so many enemies. Now, I've forgotten all about those people & have way more friends that I love.
This time last year, I never got in trouble for my grades. Now, I've been grounded more times than I can count. This time last year, I was scared about what to expect. Now, I'm confident going into situations. This time last year, my extended family was just family. Now, I hang out with my Aunt, Uncle, & little 4 year old cousin almost every weekend & I love it. This time last year, I had a relationship with God but not really a strong one. Now, I'm more connected to God than I've ever been.

This time last year I was recouperating at home from my BMT. I was weak, but I felt alive.
This time last year I was breaking my neck to finish my finals and school work. This time last year, although I couldn't be around them, I felt close to my friends. Now, I am feeling too mature for my age. I feel that my illness has completely pushed me away from people my own age. I have lost half of my friends, and no one wants to be around me. Sometimes being smart really hurts you. I am just feeling alone. And yet, I would never trade anything about myself for friends. I am just confused.

I also think I've changed a lot, style-wise. I've kind of discovered the best things for me, like how mascara makes my eyes pop, and I've gotten much better at shaping my eyebrows. I've lost a little weight (not that I was fat before or anything), gotten comfortable with my body, and found the best ways to dress myself. I'm definitely much more confident.
Shelby, I think you win for most changes in a year.
