I don't know the answer but just until someone who does posts, i'l tell you what I think on info that I've been given. We're doing indirect for the first time this year & I did wonder if we could do this but think possibly not as i'm told that once your luggage is taken at the airport that you don't collect it again until you land back in the UK. If you could do it I think you would have to check in again at your first stop.

No, as when you do check-in you do it for all your flights at the same time not just the internal one. An alternative is to do online check-in at the hotel

On the way there you collect them and drop them off again but you don't actually check in again, there's a drop off point not far from the luggage carousel (it's all signposted, we only did it last September but my memory is a bit fuzzy on exactly what we did but I know it was dead easy which was a relief as I was soo worried beforehand) On the way back your bags go straight through to the UK, no need to collect them and drop them off again

Ah right I think that was where I was getting confused I thought you had to checkin again like you were for your first flight

I am glad you have helped as I think I would have worried as well just going in direct was SOOOO much cheaper
