Staying Near Seaworld practical?
Hi Everyone. We are booking rooms at the Hilton Vacation Club across from Sea World. Is this a fairly convenient location? Does anyone know how long it will take to get to the Maingate of Disney? (I realize each park will have different times to reach there since it's such a spread out place, but I'm just looking for a timeline to say Magic Kingdom.) Also, is it convenient to get to Universal from the Sea World location? We are going to be down in Orlando for 2 weeks and plan to do Disney and Universal.
I can't pass the deal up (a friend is lending us his timeshare at a great rate!!) so I'm hoping the location is still considered good, or should we opt for the Grand Hilton Vacation Club on International Drive? I think the Sea World hotel looks a little nicer. Thanks for any input! |

Hi Joey,
You are in a great location for staying two weeks and doing a variety of things. You will be about 15 minutes to the main gates of Disney, about 15 minutes to Universal, close to shopping, and there are lots of restaurants and activities on International Drive about 5 to 10 minutes. Sandy

We stayed at the Marriott Grande Vista last fall, right near Sea World. It was a fine location, particularly if you plan to do things other than Disney. Close to Sea World (obviously), convenient to to Universal and the outlet mall, and there is a Publix right up the road. I agree with the timeline given, although sometimes there was some traffic on the highway around rush hours, but not too bad.

Agreed! The Sea World area is very convenient to the other area parks,it's in between The Disney/Lake Buena Vista area and the Universal/Northern International Drive area.
