I know some special people who are going to Disney on their honeymoon in a few months, and I wanted to try and do something special for them. I wanted to call and try to get them upgraded, or just have Disney do something special in their room, etc. Anyone have any idea who I should call for something like this?
TIA |

you could try the disney florist to send them something, or do one of those in room decorating things from them.

I would definitly call or check the disney florist website. We took my niece with us to WDW last december and my sister had Santa mickey hats, autograph books, pens and some snacks sent to our room. It was such a great surprise for the kids. When my DH and I were on our honeymoon our friends sent a tropical floral arrangement, bottle of champagne and two champagne flutes. Their are no limits to what you can do with Disney !!!!

If you are willing to pay for it Disney will pretty much do anything for you within reason. That is so nice of you to want to do something like that!

Yes, as long as you are willing to pay, they will send just about anything to the room. I don't know how you would pay for an upgrade though, as you would have to know their reservation #, and then it would show up on their paperwork, so it wouldn't be a surprise.
If it is noted on their reservation that it is their honeymoon, then they may be lucky and get a free upgrade at check-in, but I haven't heard of that happening in a long time. If they are going during free dining, it may be too booked to have that happen. Just calling and telling WDW that these people deserve something free? Don't know how that would fly...

If you are willing to pay for it, Disney can work with you.Calling up and asking for them to upgraded for free probably won't work since everyday at Disney there are hundreds of people celebrating weddings, honeymoons, birthdays and anniversaries.Disney doesn't upgrade them all

My daughter paid for one night stay on my reservation without me knowing, Disney told me when I showed up to get my key at check in.
Also My daughter bought me a gift and they gave it to me at the same time, it was a nice surpise. |

If, on the other hand, you are angling for free, the one way to lower their chances of having magic happen is to ask for freebies. According to some CMs, they aren't supposed to reward asking for stuff by giving stuff (except for minor things like stickers for kids).
They can make note on all their reservations that it is their honeymoon. Sometimes that helps magic happen. Its never worked for me (two honeymoons, one wedding anniversary, one birthday, one recovery from cancer trip - not me, my sister) - but its worked for other people. |

My parents surprised DH and I by paying for our room at AKL. I'm not sure how they were able to do it though. You're a very generous friend!
