CDG to Paris
Our family of 4 is staying in Paris for 5 nights before going to DLP.
I am a little confused with the transit system and hoping someone can help. We will be purchasing travel passes for the metro. If we purchase the one that allows you to travel up to zone 6, will it get us from CDG to Gare to Nord which is close to our hotel? Can we also get from there to DLP or do we have to purchase additional passes? |

You can get a mobilis or Paris Visite ticket for a few days for several zones (DLP is in zone 5) but if you are only using it in central Paris on days you are staying there it will be a waste so I would get a mobilis ticket for the first day (or just a single ticket from CDG to Paris if you are arriving late so unlikely to go anywhere else that day)
either a mobilis ticket for zone 1 on days you are in paris or a carnet of single tickets and then a mobilis zone 1-5 on day you are leaving for DLP or single to DLP if you are unlikely to use the metro much that day A 1-5 mobilis is 13E and a single to DLP is approx 6,50E

We are going to Paris in October and I have been researching the most cost-effective method for transportation. You may want to look into the Navigo Decouverte, which is a one-week Monday thru Sunday, all inclusive, unlimited pass that works on the metro, RER, bus, funicular, and Roissybus. Both CDG and Disneyland Paris are located in zone 5. See the plan map: http://parisbytrain.com/carte-orange...8/05/zones.pdf
The cost is E33.40 plus E5.00 for the actual card. You can take the RER B (blue line) from CDG to Gare du Nord. And then when you want to go to Disneyland, take the RER B to Chatelet Les Halles where you transfer to the RER A (red line) and take that to the end stop, which is Marne La Vallee - Chessy and you end up at Disney Village. It's about 45 minutes from central Paris to Disneyland. Here's some info I found: http://parisbytrain.com/paris-train-...go-decouverte/ Note that the prices are not updated, but they are here: http://parisbytrain.com/carte-orange...uverte-prices/ Hope this helps. |

Thank you. I will look into both options and see what the most cost effective one is for us.
