Just got back
We went from june 29th-july 10. It was great...there were 10 of us total. The youngest being 3. Well almost 3 anyway. Everything was great. I had a helper here on the board that gave me park by park plans..they were GREAT!!! THANK YOU! We didnt wait for more than 15 minutes and if we waited that long it was because we threw in an extra while we were there. We got through everything this time..well everything that I wanted to see...lol..I finally got to do Tom Sawyers Island. The little one found a paintbrush..that was the highlight of his day. He rode on almost everything he could. He was a little over 40inches...so he got to experience most things. He even rode Tower of Terror..he will tell you he didnt like it so much..lol..but no tears. I was impressed. His favorite was Splash Mountain! I will say I was asked about 5 times how old he was. For the most part they were nice, but I had 2 workers who were not. His bday is july 21st, so one lady asked how old he was and I said 2 and he piped up and said he WILL be 3. All she heard I guess was 3. I turned around because she would not let it go. My sister already had him through the gate, but I turned around and showed her his BC. I was ticked by that time. I understand but still ticked. The other was an elderly man, that just looked grumpy. He asked and I said 2, he did not believe me and didnt want to open the gate, the other man opened it and the old guy still said she said he is 2 in a sarcastic voice..i turned around again with his BC. One more time I was about to go to guest relations..I was getting tired of this. I mean with all the money we spent whats a 200 more dollars. I had one lady at TOT fast pass line because we didnt have a fast pass for him.. I explained and she said he needed one everytime...she was the only person who asked for them for him out of all the rides we did.
I had a wonderful worker by fantasmic...Morgan cut his foot and I asked for a bandaid , it was bleeding really bad..he walked us to the first aid and even ran to get us a stroller. Then walked us back and made sure we got in and our seats were being held. His name was Jack...he was wonderful! All in all we had a great time. I will say on the last night we did fantasy land again and boy was that nice...from 8-11 we got through every ride and philimagic along with toontown again. We were able to get in and see the princess', the fairies and mickey again. I think i would prefer to just do the parks at night..lol. Any questions I would love to answer them...we stayed offsite at a house, very easy to get back to in the afternoon. There were a lot of people but the parks were very doable. It never closed on the 4th of july..i was shocked. |

Thanks for the post. We leave in 2 weeks!!! Just wondering, the night that you were at MK from 8-11 and got on every ride - was that during evening magic hours or on a regular day?
Thanks! |

Im not sure...it didnt seem to matter that much though..i didnt really notice a difference. I thought everything was very doable if we stuck to a plan a bit. The older kids didnt stick to my plan..but theres was great as well..they rode the big rides first. The only thing for DHS...make sure you get your fast passes for toystory mania...they did go very quickly...one morning i went to get fastpasses around 930am and my return time was 12. Soarin fast passes were available for quite some time...have somewhat of a plan and you will be fine. like i said it looked crowded but the lines were manageable...now the big rides we did fast passes for.

this vacation was on a budget...we rented a house and ate there mainly....we did however take the little one to crystal palace...we didnt have reservations and got in with only a 20 min wait right at prime lunch time...i have to say i didnt care for it all that much. He was excited to see the characters, but thats about it. I though too pricey for the food. For some reason we were not that hungry..too hard to go get food and wait for characters. We paid a little over 80 bucks...to much. I wouldnt probably go there again. Other than that we only ate rainforest cafe at downtown disney...

I will be visiting with my son in September. He will be about 3 weeks short of his 3rd birthday. How did you know to bring his birth certificate!? I would have been annoyed with the sarcastic grumpy old guy. How much of an 'issue' did he make of it? And did you have to whip out the BC anywhere else?

I brought it just in case because he is a tall child. They did not require me to show it...i just did...i was annoyed when they didnt believe me and and was a bit humiliated as well. I know for the most part you dont care what people think but if they are making a big deal..i didnt want people to think we were cheating disney. Most of the time they didnt even ask..and some that did fine when i said 2..they just opened the gate. you dont have to bring it at all..i just happened to have a copy with me.
