Wedding day dinner

My future husband and I are having an escape wedding and after our mini-reception (as I call it...it's really cake and champagne) we are planning on going to a restaurant afterwards. The only problem is that we don't know what restaurant to go to that is kid friendly (we'll have our 5 year old ringbearer with us) and that is sophisticated enough for the adults. (Everyone, inluding me and my fiance, will still have on our wedding day attire). Since we are not allowed into the parks with our formal attire on the restaurant has to be in one of the resorts or in downtown disney. If you can give me any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations! My husband and I were married in Disney 13 years ago--it truly was magical--enjoy!!!

Our rehearsal dinner was at California Grill, my niece (4 at the time) was with us and enjoyed herself. We did time dinner to take advantage viewing the fireworks.

Again, congratulations!

Us too! 13 years in November! We were married at the Yacht Club...our wedding day lunch was at Beaches and Cream! lol.

DB11...where are you getting married. Is the escape wedding what they used to call the intimate wedding?

Citricos in GF

I think Citricos is a great place to go for a special meal. Citricos in the GF gets overlooked. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is nice but still seemed casual enough that I didn't hesitate to bring my ds8 and dd6 last year. But afterall - this is Disney, most any restaurant is going to be comfortable to accomodate children. Congratulations and have a great time!!

I think either Citrico's or Jiko. Personally I think the CG is highly overrated. But actually the best you could do might be put her in the child care center at either your Resort or the GF and go to Victoria and Albert's.

Yes the escape is now what they used to call the intimate wedding. We were thinking about beaches & Cream too! lol We weren't looking for anything too fancy because we will have a 5 year old boy with us but at the same time we don't want anything too kid oriented either. We're still trying to decide. Thanks for the help though!

Aww that will be so nice. We were married at SBP.

Ok since you are in that area, I would go with Yachtsman Steak House. To be honest with you, I wish I would have eaten somewhere around the boardwalk area. Would have been more convenient.

Awww I wanted to get married at the wedding pavilion but my fiance hated the idea so that idea went out the window lol. Have you eaten at the YSH? If you have how is the quality? My fiance and I love steak and only want the best for our wedding day lol
