Resorts with rooms on the inside

Are the only resorts where the rooms are open to the inside of the hotel, deluxe resorts? We are booked at the Pop this time to save a bit of money but now my DH thinks we should stay at a moderate. I know the Carribean's rooms open to the outside - do all the other moderates?

Yes, the moderates all open to the outside.

The primary problem with America is stupidity. Maybe we should just take all the warning labels off and let the problem solve itself.

What exactly do you not like about the exterior corridors? I have stayed at value and moderates. At the value, I did notice some noise from outside the room, but it was minimal. We were facing a grassy area and parking lot, and I imagine that the noise may have been worse if we had been facing the pool, as the "interior" of Pop seemed to be mostly concrete. At the moderates, the buildings are more spread out, and have lots of green space, and so the entire resort is very quiet. I can only remember hearing outside noise 1 time, and that was a noisy neighbor moving in, and continually slamming the door. We prefer the moderates for the overall feel, but would not hesitate to stay at Pop again if necessary.

BC & Poly

BC & Poly open to a Hallway....(INside)

I think I remember ASMusic opening to the inside as well...

KatMark is correct. All values and moderates have exterior corridors. Your least expensive options for interior corridors would be WL or AKL.

Yes all of Poly opens to the outside. Like all the OP's said all value and moderate resorts have outside entryways.
You will be fine at the POP its a great resort and very safe plus, you have to remember the benefits of the POP, like, it has its own bus and you are next door to DHS and Epcot it has a super food court and gift shop plus an awesome exterior thats very eye appealing to all ages.
Have Fun!!

We've stayed at the Poly 6 or 7 times and we've always been in buildings that have inside hallways. I'm pretty sure, almost positive, they all have inside hallways. Now ... the lower floors, of course, have patios that open to "green areas" ... which is WONDERFUL! Nothing better than walking out your patio door and being on the beach or at the quiet pool!

Every room at the Polynesian opens to an inside corridor.

KatMark summed it up.

The noisiest stay I have had, to date, was at the Polynesian. There was a ton of noise outside my room in the hallway. The kids running up and down, on their way out and then late at night as they returned to their rooms. There was much banging on walls and doorways as they went down the halls.
I have had much quieter stays at the moderates and values.

Having an exterior corridor isn't a big deal to me but my DH just said he preferred an interior. If we are trying to cut costs tho, he may just have to deal with it. We were spoiled on our last trip with WL and just feel in love with it. It's hard to go back to the value when you've had a deluxe.

We used to stay deluxe all the time. We now choose nothing but moderate--we've had no problem "stepping down" a level. In truth, we actually prefer our moderate over the deluxes.

All Star Movies

Help! I distinctly remember entering our Value resort from the inside....

I'm thinking now it was All Star Movies...this would have been right after they opened up...around 1995...

Can anyone shed some light on this before I have to go find and dig through old Photo albums?

I thought all of the values were basically built the same way, just the decor is different? And all of them open directly to the outside (no interior hallways for any of the buildings) Link to allears.net slide show of all star movies....photo 10 shows the outside of the buildings where you can see the doors & windows of each room opening to either walkway (ground level) or outside hallway. Photos 22, 24, 25 also show outside of buildings clearly...hope that helps the memory!
