For all who are interested in meeting other cruisers, a group will be gathering at the SSR Turf Club for drinks and chatting. Then while some head off to dinner reservations or other plans, the rest are invited to boat across the lake to DTD and enjoy the great (I hear) food at the Earl of Sandwich (look here for the menu: http://allears.net/menu/menu_eofs.htm).

To Marcy's question re: difference between summer/winter in Atlanta . . . we actually do have a winter here which is why I like it. Now it's not winter like most people get . . . there's really no snow to speak of, but if we're lucky we'll have one BIG storm where we get maybe 3" which is enough to shut the schools and build a snowman! Having grown up and spent most of my adult life in the Northeast that always cracks me up!

Atlanta definitely gets cold . . . sweaters, coats, the whole nine yards and the heating bills that come with it! We use our fireplace A LOT from November through February! It's great. AND at the same time, we have pansies in bloom all winter and you just can't beat that!

Now, if we could just do something about the traffic . . .

This time next week we will have to tie Matt down to keep him from bouncing off the walls. We leave around 5:00 am next Friday for the airport.
