Shoes for child who gets blisters easily???
I know there are a ton of "what shoe" threada. So, I apologize. However, I have a daughter who seems to have very sensitive feet. She can wear sneakers without getting blisters, but I'm looking for something that is a bit more breathable and not so HOT (as we're going in Sept).
She has a pair of LL Bean sandals that are comfy for a bit, but then leave her with blisters. Crocs do the same thing (unless we add socks, which defeats the purpose). She has a pair of Rocket Dog flip flops (the top is made of hemp, which seems to work for her...regular flip flops will cause issues after a couple of hours in the parks), but I'd rather her not wear flip flops all day, either. Has anyone had this issue and found something that works well for their child who tends to get blisters fairly easily??? She's 6, if that matters. Thanks in advance!!!

Buy some Body Glide and use it liberally on her feet every morning and reapply as necessary -- that will solve your blister problem.

Agreed - it is the lack of socks that is the problem, not the shoe/sandal. You have two choices - let her toughen up her feet by wearing shoes w/o socks (means getting blisters a few times, then developing calluses), or be prepared with socks or a sock substitute (like body glide).

We've had the best luck with Puddle Jumpers and Pedipeds.

My 3 year old gets blisters easily and so do I. We used Body Glide at WDW for a week and no blisters at all. I found it at our local runners shop. I've heard Dick's sporting goods and bike shops also carry it. The shoes she did great with at WDW (and anyplace else that involves alot of walking) are Merrell Relay Tours- the ones with the sides that are mesh. They are sneakers, but they breathe because of the mesh. I got them online. She wore them without socks at WDW for a week in May with no problems. The princesses told her how cute her "sensible" shoes were with her dresses and how smart she was for wearing them. They aren't cheap, but she has always been difficult to fit in shoes that won't hurt her feet or rub blisters, so we've never been able to get away with cheap shoes for her. The joke around our house is that her shoes cost more than mine.

Hi
My DGD is 6 and she loves the Croc scutes. They're a slide and really comfortable. That's all she wants to wear at Disney. You don't have to wear socks with them. She had a pair last summer and never had a blister. I blister very easily also, and wore Croc scutes all week at Disney with never a blister. They're so comfortable. You can order them on Shoebuy.com with free shipping and free return.
