Intex pools at Sam's Club

I saw a 16' pool at Sam's. REALLY want to buy one to put up next year. Its priced 299.99 My question is, if I buy one now and they mark them down in 2weeks, will Sam's do an adjustment for me?? Or should I wait, and hope I get one IF they mark them down? Just hate to spend that much money right now. Nervous if I don't buy one this year, will I find one next year? Sam's is the only store in our area that carries the 16' x 48" size. What to do, what to do ??

I don't know if they will do adjustments, but we have this exact pool and LOVE IT! We are on our 4th season with it and have had no problems with it at all until this year and it's just the pump hoses have gotten leaks in them. Very simple repair. Good luck with your decision and enjoy the pool!

Linda, I see your also in Ohio. I'm about an hour north of Columbus. Do you take the pool down during our LONG winter months ??? If not, do you have to shock the water when your ready to use it? Appreciate your help. Lisa

They will do an adjustment if they still have some in stock. I can't recall how many days they do it for. I want to say it's 30 days unless the policy has changed in the last year or so. We bought a bounce house on sale and then it went down even further a few weeks later and they refunded me the difference.

I bought the 18x48 Intex pool at toys r us for $249 last year on sale.

I am going to buy another one this year, since dh stored it in one of our sheds over the winter a mouse ate thru it. so we only got one summer out of it!!

we had our 12 foot one stored somewhere else and that one is fine. they do last. we are on the 3rd summer with the 12 foot one now

Hi Lisa! I do take it down every year just to be safe. I know of some people that leave them up but I'm just afraid it wouldn't last as long. My DD is 13 now and I feel I got my moneys worth the first year. She's in it all the time--even last night when it was only 65 degrees outside! I like the size of this pool because I don't feel like I'm in a kiddy pool when I get in it. Have fun and hurry before our wonderful fall and winter seasons arrive!

I would wait for awhile. I bought the 18' x 48" Intex inflatable ring pool at Toys R Us last year for $99 on clearance. Bought it in August, I think. They also had the 18' Intex metal frame pool on clearance for $149. I saw them all over the place in August and September for under $150. Don't buy now. Wait it out.

Someone else asked about taking the pool down every year (we live in Indiana). My friend has the inflatable Intex and takes it down every year. She is on her third year and has had no problems.

Good luck!

I cannot advise on Sam's Club, but I will comment on storing the pool. We have one, actually upgraded from a smaller size so we are on year 5! Love the pools and store it each winter. We live in the Pacific NW so summer is only 3 months long here. Ours has the frame, we drain and wipe dry the inside of the pool, dismantle the frame and carefully fold it up. We store it all in a deck box until next year. Best money we ever spent, the kids love it!
