Are they still opening new rooms at Kidani?

Just wondering if everything is open now or if they are still adding to the room count....read awhile ago that all the room wings weren't open at first. Have been w/l for a few weeks and my trip is coming up very soon. Hoping for pixie dust!! And new rooms could certainly help! TIA

Phase 2 of Kidani Village is not scheduled to open until early September.

I was there last month, there is still construction going on. As you walk into the lobby, the rooms to the right are complete. Some of the rooms on the left side are still under construction. The new savannah is not open yet, so none of the rooms facing it are open.

Ugh. My w/l was only for Sav. view, so that didn't help. Wish now I had included standard, even if we would have lost a few points due to borrowing. Live and learn (should have consulted with the DIS experts first!). Maybe I'll have some luck with the 7 day out daily call.

If your trip is coming up soon, you should probably just call every few days to see if there is available space. Note, adding new time that can be reserved in existing rooms is different from opening the north wing. As the resort prgresses in sales, new units are added to DVC (from already open units) thus creating more time that can be reserved by members. In other words, DVC members are currently entitled to use only a part of the reserve time for all the rooms already open and that "part" will continue to increase in size as more DVC sales are made.

Does this mean the Savannah View rooms are not available at Kidani yet? I did not know this. Does anyone know when they will be opening them up? I have a waitlist for a one bedroom savannah view room at Kidani from October 11 - 18. We are currently booked in a one bedroom savannah view in Jambo. I'm happy with either but a bit happier if the Kidani one bedroom savannah waitlist comes through.

Yes there are Savannah view rooms available at Kidani now - facing

Sunset Savannah. Pembe Savannah is not complete yet.

See this link to Kidani map, it will give you a better idea.
