back from sunny florida

hi just got back last night. had a great time and didnt want to come home. the weather was great except for 2days near the end of our holiday so cant complain. this time we didnt do disney and i must say i dont feel like i missed out at all, which surprised me. we did universal and islands of adventure, seaworld and busch gardens and visited downtown disney for our disney fix. firstly seaworld .......manta is fab!!!!! well worth queing for. T-rex cafe is very good, meal was lovely, service excellent and it is absolutley huge. a must do for kids. universal was great as always and for any of you who like me have a special needs child they were great. got a gac every day we went in with no problems at all. while we were in unversal we got to watch the tna wrestling which they were taping for tv. we were lucky and got vip tickets. while watching the show a nice lady came over to us and started talking to us, she then handed my son a tshirt and asked if he was having fun, he said he was but he wished he could meet all the wrestlers. well this lady asked me what my son weighed then disappeared and came back with a bouncer who then preceeded to lift my son(9) out of his wheelchair, (now we were on a raised platform and had a fence around us but that didnt stop him). she then asked to take my other 2sons also and they all disappeared backstage to meet all the wrestlers!!!!! how lucky were they!! the lady turned out to be the owner of the tna wrestling(president) dixie carter. and what a lovely lady she was. for all of you waiting on hollywood rip, ride and rockit things dont look great they still had cranes around it, they were testing it but not often and i must say i cant see it being open anytime soon. busch gardens was great as always we just really like this park. food prices in the parks were about the same as always but we found the portions smaller. we did find a big difference in our money this time around because we have always had a good exchange rate before. any questions feel free to ask me, my eyes are getting fuzzy so im heading to bed to try and shake the jet lag!!

Pleased to hear you had such a great time.

We have always found Universal great for our DS who also needs special assistance - although I have read reports of others being not so well looked after. Good news it was fine for you though.

Hope you get over the jet lag soon so you can get on with your TR and pics

Welcome back.
We just landed back this morning.
I agree with Trex absoutely fantastic place to dine.
Weather was ridiculous 106f we spotted on the dash one day.
I noticed food prices had risen slightly and portions smaller, and the free dining plan as caused onsite to become busy but that could be just me.

Glad you had a wonderful time.
