Question about paying off a room-only ressie - The DIS Discussion Forums

Can you pay it off before you check in? I booked online last night. I wanted to pay more than the 1 night deposit, but it wouldn't let me.....

Same thing happened with me. You cannot make any room only payments online. Call CRO....some cast members will allow you to prepay, some will not.

I have a room only ressies prior to my package, granted it is only one night, but it was orginally 2 rooms at POP and I upgraded to CR, and the CM told me I could just pay the difference at check in. But I asked if I could just pay it in full and she let me, but I had to do it over the phone.

For our trip in Dec, I made payments, then ended up making it a package at about 14 days out, PIF at that time too. Packages have to be though.

I paid off my room only, no problem... but did it by calling CRO. I'd just call, and save yourself the worry.

Our Sept. trip is a split stay - a 5 night FD package and a 5 night room only. I wanted to pay in advance for as much of the vacation as I could. I prepaid for both parts over the phone. No problem. I find it hard to believe that Disney would not want to take money in advance. If a CM tells you "no", hang up and try again.

I agree. There are so many different castmembers answering the phones that you're sure to get another one the next time you call.

The hassles with this are one of the best reasons to just call. I use online for reference, only. Because I booked over the phone, I can call and pay as I please, and CRO happily take the $$.
If you don't care about paying off your vacation early, this odd thing about booking online is no big deal. For me, though, having the trip paid in full before we arrive is priority one so I'll always choose to call rather than do online.

Whenever my family and I make a room only reservation we immediately paid of the 1st night deposit with the Cast Member on the phone and then paid the rest when we check-in.

I pay the first night, and then every month, i send them a check for another night stay. Then by the time I go, it's all paid off!!!
