Chefs de France Review- 6/4- Always yummy!
Hi everyone! I'm finally getting around to writing my third review. This time it's on Chefs de France in Epcot. My group includes my mom (Sherry), my sister (Lindsay a.k.a Birthday Girl), and me (Jessica). We've been to Chefs de France many times in the past and always like it. But this was our first time on the DDP so we were excited to get dessert! (since we never do under usual circumstances).
Anyways, we had the first lunch reservation time at noon. We arrived and the host was checking people in outside in front the entry doors. There were quite a few people there. We arrived early (about 15 minutes) but were seated I believe at our appointed time. We got a table in the room off to the right when you enter the restaurant. We like this part of the restaurant b/c it's more secluded and quiet. Also, there are a ton of windows where you can see "France" and people strolling by. I also have to mention that the guys that work at the Chef de France are so CUTE!!! The host and the guy who seated us were very, very cute! We were so hoping that the one who seated us would be our waiter but he wasn't. We got a waitress, but she was very nice.So we were seated at our table and, like I said, our waitress was very friendly and prompt. She explained what we could get with the DDP. We found out we could get the French menu which included a choice of soup, entree, and dessert. We all decided to go for this b/c we love the lobster bisque! Lindsay got the macaroni and cheese and my mom and I both go the ham and cheese croissant. For dessert, Lindsay and my Mom chose creme brulee, I chose the creme puff with vanilla ice cream. Sidenote- We also ordered drinks and the only problem there was that I got coffee and it was very cool. I told the waitress and she got me a new cup, but it was still very cool (kinda luke-warm). Anyways, it was not very good but since I'm a coffee addict, I was able to drink some. I'm not sure what was up with it though. The lobster bisque was first. It was very yummy as usual. There was quite a bit of lobster in it, too. Lindsay didn't like that part so much Turns out, she doesn't really like lobster but she did like the soup part. It is almost a little salty but it's very yummy especially when you dip bread in it.Our entrees were good. Lindsay liked her macaroni and cheese. It wasn't your basic kraft. It was regular pasta noodles with a creamy, light cheese sauce. I tried it too and I have to say it was simple but good. My mom and I both got the ham and cheese sandwich and, let me tell you, one sandwich to split would have been more than enough!! However, we each had our own so we had trouble finishing it. They were good though- the bread was toasted and the cheese was all melty...mmmm. Around this time, we got to see Remi!! He was so cute! The "waiter" with him was pushing him around on a cart. He could control the noises Remi would make and this guy was really funny! He came over and talked to us and Remi sang Lindsay "Happy Birthday." We were really excited we got to see him! Finally- dessert!! So good! The creme brulees were a hit with my mom and sister. My mom really like the little cookie that came on top, too. I LOVED the cream puff with vanilla ice cream. It was one of my favorite dessert all week!! It was very simple- two puffs with vanilla ice cream inside and chocolate sauce on the plate. But that was the great part- just simple. So good!!! As usual, Chefs de France was a hit with my family. We'll definitly be going back again! (Hopefully next time we'll get a hot waiter )Here's Remi: This guy was really funny: lobster bisque: ham and cheese: macaroni and cheese: creme brulee: cream puff: |

Thank you for the review- now I can't decide which soup to have tomorrow at our first visit to this restaurant. I assumed I should get the French onion but the lobster bisque sounds great, too!
edit: I did get the French Onion and it was very good. So was the ham and cheese sandwich ad the ice cream puffs with choc sauce for dessert! The sauce was great, not Hershey syrup stuff but real chocolate.

Sounds like a good meal!
sigh.... The Remy handler was my favorite Graves, the butler from the now defunct Adventurer's Club. He has a quick, sharp wit, and has always reminded me of Ryan Stiles (from the Drew Carey Show, and Whose Line Is It Anyway?). I like their mac n cheese. But it actually use to be better. Although theirs is good. I have a recipe for a better one now. Expensive to make, for mac n cheese. But worth it.
