November 2010???

We were planning a trip during the beginning of December 2010, and after reading about Pop Warner, we are rethinking our timing. If we were to look into November, is there anything that we need to avoid other than Thanksgiving? Anything else like Pop Warner in November to avoid? And how are crowds during this month other than Thanksgiving?

TIA!

Nu Joisy

You will want to avoid the first week of November, referred to on the boards as "Jersey Week". Schools in NJ close for teacher professional days and conferences. Many families take the opportunity to head to FL. As NJ is the second largest market for WDW, it does make the parks noticeably busier. They are nice people, but there are a lot of them. On the other hand, it's fun to listen to them tawk.

Thanks for the info, GenieCat! I like learning a new dialect (just joking!!!). Would Veteran's Day be noticeably much busier? I was thinking Nov. 8th-18th. How does that sound? Thanks!

The very best time is the week after Thanksgiving. Crowds are low and all the Christmas decorations and parties are in full bloom!!

GO JERSEY!

Being from New Joisy! (LOL)I have supported "Jersey week" the last two out of three years and believe Disney should officially have a Jersey week celebration! 50% off all rooms for people from Jersey! I WISH!

That is when I originally wanted to go, but we want to stay for close to 2 weeks which would make half of our trip during Pop Warner time. I just wanted to avoid that. That's why I am changing to Nov. It looks like the MVMCP is starting Nov. 10th this year, so I thought we might get some of the Christmas stuff, too.
