This spring I'm having a bumper crop. I got the original plants from a fellow teacher in NJ and they grew in our Lower Makefield PA home until we moved to Ohio 16 years ago. I brought 3-4 plants with me, stuck them in a corner of the garden, and they multiply and would take over the yard if I let them.
DS came from Pittsburgh over the weekend, and I sent him home with a 1/2 pint of raspberries and 3 plants. We'll see how they do in Western PA! Does anyone else grow them? I've tried strawberries and blueberries, but the birds get them before we do, so raspberries are the only fruit I attempt now. Bobbi
