Birmingham
Hi all
My DH has to go down to Birmingham tomorrow for a meeting which, fortunately, coincides with a gig my DS18 is going to so we are going to give him a lift and wait for him. His gig is at the O2 Academy, is there plenty of car parking spaces around it? Is there somewhere we can obviously pick him up from or meet him? Is the Bullring in the centre of Birmingham? Is there plenty to keep me and my son DS18 occupied whilst my DH is at the meeting all day in the centre of Birmingham? My son is going to catch the train across to Coventry to meet up with his mates that are going, is the train station easy to walk to from the centre of Birmingham? Thanks for any help. Bev

Hi Bev
Luckily, everywhere you need to go is within walking distance of the town centre The train station is very close to the Bull Ring, and the O2 Academy is close to the town too (map and info http://www.o2academybirmingham.co.uk/venue.php) If you like shopping, there are lots of shops in the Bull Ring, and if you want to kill a bit of time you could walk up to the Mailbox for somewhere nice to eat (5 min walk from town centre) Bull Ring http://www.bullring.co.uk/website/ Mailbox http://www.mailboxlife.com/ There's also an Odeon Cinema if you want to see a film for a couple of hours I hope that helps

Awh! Thanks so much Mandy that helps a lot, I feel quite relaxed now as was wondering how big the place was to find DH and get DS18 on to the train, then meet back up with him. I will have a good look through those links, I suspect the Bullring will be where I will be going first.
