Our first trip

Hello,

We will finally make a trip to WDW June 2010 for 7 days. My kids will be 3 and 5. What would you your top choices be for these little ones to see/do?

Thanks a bunch!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for your daughter. She will love it if she is a princess!

3 & 5 year olds

For MK - Fantasyland and Mickey's Toon Town Fair - MK might be a 2 day visit for your little ones...
try to work in 'special traditions'.....my DS is 17 and has been 10 times and for every trip (where he was old enough) I have a picture of him trying to pull the sword out of the stone in front of the carousel.
Get an autograph book and pen if you think the kids are old enough for that.
CRT / Cosmic Rays

Try to get to 'Ohana Breakfast. So much more I could say.....have a magical trip!

Hugs,
Mary

We went in March for our first Disney trip. My kids are the same age as yours will be. MK was a two day event. DD3 loved seeing characters and rides in Fantasy Land. DS5 enjoyed Splash and Thunder MT. Use the fastpases and child swap option so both you and DH can enjoy the rides too.

I loved EPCOT but the kids didn't. I think when they're older they will appreciate that more, so food for thought.

Personally, I do not care for Chef Mickey's. BUT my grandchildren love it!!! So the first night we are there I make a ressie for dinner. It will be a good introduction for your 3 year old to the characters. My 7 year old grandson puts it at the top of his list of must dos. (He gets to list three things he most wants to do at WDW) So in October we will be back!!!

Epcot

Simba;

When mine were that little....we used to let them wear bathing suits or packed some dry clothes for the day at Epcot...

Epcot has some REALLY cool misting areas / water play areas that just draw the little ones like magnets...

They have a ball with water shooting up out of the ground, misting stations, etc.... usually they would get pretty wet.

Hugs,
Mary

Oh Mary that is a great idea!! I love that the kids clothes are so small they dont take up much room in the backpack.. I have been looking into a few things to do at Epcot I will add that to my list.

My #1 tip, buy the Unofficial Guide and read it, learn it, live it!!!

Read these boards.

Be sure to to be ready to make your ADR's at exactly 120 days out (January).

Do not overplan, but have a plan.

Do not underbudget, Disney is expensive.

Kids your age love "It's A Small World", and the line is usually never more than a half hour.
