How do I post a picture?
How do I add a photo on a thread I would like to start? I want to show everyone the cute gift baskets I'm having delivered to my room for my DD's upon our arrival?
Thank you!! |

You have to have the photos hosted somewhere, like Photobucket. Once you do that, each image will have its own individual URL, which may be copied/pasted into your post with [IMG.][/IMG] tags around it (minus the period). If you use Photobucket, they'll provide the entire string that you need to paste into the post (in the pic below, it's the 4th thing listed below each photo, the one labeled IMG Code).
![]() Copy the string, paste it into the post, et voila--your images will appear. Hope that helps some!

Thank you Dan.
Since I have this photo I wanted to paste here on my work computer I won't be able to do it correct? I thought I could just cut and paste it but I guess it won't work that way.

You have to upload the picture file to a web photo hosting site, such as www.photobucket.com (probably the easiest by far to use). Once uploaded, follow the steps above from OK! and/or myself. Copy and paste from your PC to the DIS will not work, it has to be uploaded somewhere.
If you do not want to do that, email the picture file to me (address lower left in my signature), if you want to, I can upload to my photobucket and send the link back to you. I have many files from folks here on the DIS like that that they have linked in their signatures and/or posts.
