Is email an option? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Does anyone know if it's possible to email DFTW for the first contact? I've just worked out that in order for me to call them I'd need to do it before 7am in the morning, and for many reasons, (including I am completely NOT switched on at that time, plus it's winter here, so getting up at that time is extremely difficult for someone like me!

) email would be a really convenient way to go!

idk the answer bc I am not getting married there but I say call!! that has to be so exciting to get to make that first call... take a sick day that day... set the alarm to wake up and call... then go back to bed! that is what I would do!

Hey Bec,

I know what you mean; the prospect of getting up at 4am & calling o/s to talk weddings was not appealing to me either

so I made contact first via email.

I was having so much trouble getting someone to call me back that I started emailing everyone I could find an address for.

I eventually found a small Disney office here (in Sydney) called Disney Destinations and the girl that works there gave me the SEA contact for Disney weddings and he in turn gave me Wishes, Escape & DL contact.

The girls are great and initially answered all my questions in emails and when it came time to lock in details, we had one call (8am our time) to talk few the last few things. But I have done virtually everything by email.

I would call if you want to be sure! People always respond quicker to actual phone conversations.

We're both taking the day of work and getting some champagne in!

I think Disney Wedding office are only open Mon-Fri but the first call center might be open on the weekend.

If I call about 6:30am on a Saturday, it should be roughly 4:30pm the previous Friday in Florida...

I've set you a pm - Joe was great

he responded to my email about 5hrs after I sent it, (which I was amazed at as we had been trying for months to get through to someone) but the best thing was I was put straight in touch with the wedding planners and I didn't have to go through sales first, which made a huge difference and really speeded things up for us trying to plan from the other side of the globe
