That is correct, it has to be scanned into their machine in order to determine the remaining number of days on the ticket.

You can now. As of about 2008 or so there is a phone number to call:

The number to call to check number of valid days remaining on a MYW ticket:

(407) 566-4985 (press opt.#2).

Open Mon-Sat and will only check 3 tickets at a time.

Thanks for the info, Will! When I worked at TDS as a manager I got that question almost daily. I'm glad it has changed!

I have called that number twice now and both times I was told they no longer are able to check tickets over the phone.

I have gotten an operator to help with the days, but only if it isn't too busy. You will need to know the date the card was last used or at least the month.

That is odd. But thanks for sharing your experiences, Kristine. I think it's now clear that it's a CM preference thing, not an actual new policy.

I'd postulate that its more like a "new CM" thing rather than any policy change.

I called a while back for some cards I have from 2001 and read them the number under the bar code and they were able to tell me what was left.

Yes.
This service has been available for quite awhile now (about 18 months.)

Every once-in-a-while there are reports of the CM on the phone NOT
giving out the info.

If that happens to you, wait an hour or two and call again.
You'll likely get another CM who will give you the ticket info.

Just tried and the girl was most unhelpful. Really wasn't helpful for any of my questions. Guess I'll try calling back later.

I actually called through the resort line because I had a question about my stay but just tried again using option 2. She was also said I had to go to the parks for them to scan them.

Very frustrating, especially since I was on hold for quite awhile this second time.
