Historically, when does Disney raise ticket prices each year?

Just trying to stay ahead of the curve.

Am I remembering correctly that Disney typically raises their ticket prices around August?

We're still in the planning/deciding stages of an October 2009 trip, so we're not ready to purchase tickets just yet. I know the DIS typically announces the upcoming price hike but I want to have a general date range in my mind so I don't miss the announcement, and thereby miss the chance on the current prices!

Also, I've been on the DIS for a couple of years and seems like Disney has raised the prices both years...do they pretty much raise the prices every single year?

Thanks!

They could.
No way to know in advance.

I'm not lying awake at night worrying about it.
They are already the highest-priced theme parks.
They may not want to add much (if anything) to that distinction in this
time of economic woe.

They have been offering plenty of other incentives to attempt to lure
more guests to WDW this year.
It would seem counter-productive to slap a big ticket price increase
in the middle of it all.

But, only time will tell.
Stay tuned.

we'll be at WDW the end of August and have 5 day PH tickets. I have been pondering upgrading and getting the 10-day nonexpiring tickets (basically adding 5 more days and adding non expiration). If there is a price increase, can I still upgrade those tickets using the pricing under which they were purchased, i.e. 2009 prices? Thanks!

In the past, I remember price increases in January, April, and October too.

Hey, so did GAS PRICES...

(And they haven't stopped going up yet, either.)

1) Ticket prices seem to become effective in the August time frame.
2) They are then in place for the next year's room rates and package rates.

Historically, Disney has always raised ticket prices on a day of the week that ends in the letter "y".

When do new ticket prices come out?

Can someone tell me about when the new ticket prices for 2010 are announced. I think it is always sometime in the Fall - yes? We will be going in Sept of 2010 and I believe you can buy your tickets ahead of time under the current price (2009) and still use them in 2010 - is that correct? Trying to save my dollars where I can. TIA.

New ticket prices typically are released in August. Last year's increase was effective August 3. Any tickets purchased prior to that date at the previous prices can be used after the new prices are implemented (subject to any other standard restrictions that may apply).
