Disney & Seasonal/Holiday (Summer/Fall) Recipe Swap Progress

You are invited to join the Disney and Seasonal/Holiday Recipe Swap, Part 4. The themes are any recipes from a Disney property (for any time of year) and/or Summer and Fall recipes, as well as the holidays that fall in this time frame, such as 4th of July and Halloween. The Kids Recipe group will be either their favorite or something they like to make. If at all possible, please post which group/s you want and what your recipes will be for each group. If you don't know which recipe you want to do yet, please post as soon as you can.

If you sign up for a Disney recipe category, you must do a Disney recipe that has not been done in the swaps before (previously done recipe list follows). Don’t worry-there are probably thousands left that we haven’t done. If you sign up for the Seasonal/Holiday recipe category, you do not need to do a Disney recipe. REQUIREMENTS: Make 6 for each group. Completed recipes must be 8 ½” x 5 ½”. Staples sells the binders and the plastic sheet protectors for this size. Use cardstock and layer at least once plus two embellishments. Please check in every 2 weeks.

SENDING & RECEIVING: I’ve added a couple weeks to the due date listed on the swap calendar. Mail date is no later than Friday, July 24, 2009. Mail all 6 copies of the swap you do. You will get one of yours back. These are due Friday, July 31, 2009. Please ship your package on time so that we can get your recipes returned promptly. We will mail out all swaps the next week so that you will have them in time to use for the end of Summer and Fall.

Label your recipes with your Dis name, real name, category and group number. Put your recipes in a plastic bag larger than the recipes. Individual zip bags will leave lines on the recipes if they are too small. Pretty in tink and I use gallon size Food & Bread Storage Bags for ours. They are just a flat plastic bag with no zipper and cost about ½ as much as the zip bags. A recipe fits nicely in one too. I will PM you the shipping address after sign-ups close. Mail in a priority envelope or box and include $4.95 (envelope) or $10.35 (box) for return postage (stamps, cash, check) to return your items. If you want your items shipped back to you with delivery confirmation, include an extra $.70. Please do not send metered or click-it/ship-it postage – some hostesses have had issues with these.
