Did they bring back the vortex?

Has anyone been to Poseidon's Fury lately? Have they brought back the water tunnel {vortex}? I hope so. We'll be down in June and one member of our group has never been to IOA/US and I would love for her to see that great special effect.

My boyfriend and I were just there yesterday and it was not in operation. We were both so disappointed as it is our favorite thing about the attraction.

i have not been on Poseidon in so long. When i am in that area of the park, there is Mythos and and Poseidon right across from each other. For me there is no choice, i have to eat at Mythos

Getting rid of the vortex was a seriously bad idea, hopefully they'll bring it back permanently.

The attraction is still a lot of fun, but the water feature was one of the main components. It doesn't make sense that they don't make a priority out of replacing it.

Is it closed because of the construction for the Harry Potter section? I thought that I read that it would reopen once certain construction was complete... something about water pipes.

That's what we were wondering last week. There's also a big fountain looking area out fron that looked all dried up. We assumed that it was supposed to be a fountain anyway. (Looked pretty pitiful dry) When we went throught the tunnel last week, it looked like it was lined with fabric with fans blowing on it. (yuck!)

I've never seen it in person before last week, but have seen youtube clips so knew what was SUPPOSED to be there. I was really shocked when all the people oooohed and aaahhhhhed when we went through the tunnel...guess that's what I get for peeking at youtube before our trip....

It's really too bad. It has been shut down for awhile now. Whenever I spoke to anyone about IOA the vortex was something I raved about and everyone who has seen thought it was great. My DH, 2 DS's and their GF's, and I will be there in less than two weeks. One of the girls has never been to Florida and I feel sorry that she won't see it. Has anyone heard if and when it will return?

The vortex (and outdoor water features) being shut off is unrelated to Potter construction. It's nothing more than a budget cut. It's supposed to return for the busy summer season, but that's yet to be seen.

My DS and DW watched it last summer in July and it wasn't running then and I agree it a budget cutting thing
